Don't be silly. Take care of your responsibilities and let Dr. Paul take care of his.
Housing or mortgage lates are some of the worst lates you can have. By all means, pay your mortgage. The good Doctor would understand.I will not pay my mortgage this month, I will be giving it to Dr. Ron Paul.
Is it worth a *ding* on my credit report? - Hell Yes!!!
So I am going to be a month behind....
Mortgage company offers a 'Workout' plan to catch up...

seriously -- pay your mortgage. if you can afford to make two payments next month (or even more than your normal payment on a "catch up" plan) -- just donate what you can next month. every little bit counts, but even if your mortgage is $2k/month it's not worth the effect on your credit for just you to send $2000 right now... and I wouldn't encourage other people to do this.

This is the only 'credit' item I have!
No credit cards, no car payment (bought and paid for!)
My credit sucks anyways, and since I have no use for it...

I would consider that deficit spending...don't think Paul would agree with not paying yoru mortgage. Find other places to cut the fat if you want to donate.

Do Both. If you can't afford to do both, then you can't afford to donate that much. A catchup plan can turn into a nightmare and be very costly.
man, pay your mortgage, in actuality money does not correlate well into votes, it helps, but work on the street helps much more. If you want to help Dr Paul go out in the streets and convert some non believers, but personal fiscal responsibility is an important part of having a free country

Do I what I did and just run up some credit card debt. That actually helps your credit rating as long as you make the minimum monthly payments.
