Gingrich grassroots organizing for Ron Paul in Virginia!

i don't think gingrich360 knows that once people start researching ron paul they will switch and he will lose voters hahaha

lol, i can imagine it now.

To Gingrich Supporters aiming to stop Romney by supporting Paul:

"Emphasize his fiscal conservative record, 30 years of being principled in Congress, how his plan is supposedly the only one to balance the budget in his first term, his...wait a minute..."

Why aren't we voting for this guy?

I hope that happens :D

Lol I certainly see a possibility for a backfire here.

Ideally, I like to think people who vote for Ron are doing so with the integrity that they are voting for something they believe in, as opposed to casting a vote as part of an anti-Romney ultimatum, but I'll take the votes with the potential that these voters might convert to the good side.

I don't give a hoot why the majority vote for Paul so long as they do. Imagine if the Founders had waited till they'd convinced the majority! NO, they spread the word as much as they could but they knew that majority is too stupid to choose liberty (just look at democratic countries allover the world, majority always vote in corrupt people) hence they'd even restricted the voting-rights to only the propertied-people because they knew that otherwise it would have devolved into a socialised cleptocracy pretty quickly.

Similarly, we can't ever hope to convince everyone on liberty because fact is majority LOVES tyranny so we try to reach out to as many as we can but at the end of the day, it's about clinching the power & libertanising the whole system, that's all that matters!

I'd just like to remind people to be respectful to Grinch and Frothy supporters - this kind of thing could flip very easily. Especially if Romney lost Arizona an Michigan.

It's not like they are taking money for a Presidential campaign and use it for something else.

I think we should be respectful to EVERYONE, nothing wrong with discussing why Paul would be better deal but don't insult them just because they don't like Paul because it only alienates people & they'll be less likely to consider Paul in the future :(

No, they won't weasel their way in. It's a done deal and settled by the courts. A lot of people don't realize Santorum also resides in the state - living in Great Falls, VA.

That's just another rich suburb of Washington DC. Lots of politicians live in Great Falls. Newt lives a few miles away in McLean. They are just rich suburbs of DC.

I hope Santorum people are doing the same, we and them have to beat Romney.

Am I the only one who sees this as bad?
(By the way, I think that Rick Santorum will jump on this bandwagon as well.)

Can you imagine the newscast if Ron Paul were to win VA now?

"Ron Paul wins with the help of Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich."
"Gingrich wins a behind the scenes battle with Mitt Romney."
"Santorum slides one in on Mitt Romney"
"Newt and Rick help an old man across the street for his first and only win!."
"Gingrich throws Ron Paul for a touchdown!"

I could go on and on....
I have to disagree and say that this is bad news.
I think that it would be better if we lost VA now.

That would mean we are winning.

There's no way you can spin this into bad news

Vote and take a look at the poll results on the right side of the page in the OP!

Gingrich supporters are organizing in Virginia - for Ron Paul! (stealing delegates trick?)

This seems to be an interesting new strategy. Only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul will be on the ballot in Virginia. It seems that Newt Gingrich suporters want to organize for Ron Paul (maybe in the hopes they will be able to grab control of the delegates in the state)

From the Herman Cain forums:

We received an email from a Gingrich supporter group called Newt Gingrich 360 and here is what it said.

An e-mail from Newt Gingrich 360, a grassroots website unaffiliated with the Gingrich campaign “for Newt Gingrich Supporters and Volunteers,” reveals a push for Gingrich supporters in Virginia to support Ron Paul in the state’s primary on March 6.

46 of 49 of Virginia's delegates to the Republican National Convention are pledged to presidential contenders in today's Virginia Presidential Primary.

Seems like a logical conclusion, but most likely what it will amount to is lower than expected turnout in VA as a bunch a voters won't have "their" candidate on the ballot. I hope people vote based on stategy, but that might be giving most voters too much credit - I could see a few folks slapping their heads as they walk out of the booth thinking, "Oh wait, I should have voted to stop Romney... darn."

I just worry people will hold their nose and vote for Romney like they intend to in the general election. I hope I am wrong on this, but political strategy is not many common voter's strong suit. Take for example the fact that a bunch of people will still probably vote for Newt or Rick in Washington County, ME this Saturday - why? They should understand that this county vote is just a deciding factor for Romney versus Paul and basically see it as a two man race, of which they should be voting to stop Mitt Romney in hopes of catching him later.
