Republicans who watch TV all day and vote every time they can went for him, and they are a pretty sizable percentage, especially in primary states.

RP went to the event, it was sad $100 a head or $40 per speech event with about 75 people, Paul should have skipped it too, the only thing good that came out of it was Sanford's son endorsing Paul, then going to the grassroots HQ to pcikup materials and work!

FYI - The event Gingrich cancelled wasn't his event. Ron Paul was also there. That event was going on all week and had low attendance to begin with. Ron Paul went anyways, and the crowed was small. It was going on durring the day while people were at work.

i am suspecting that those few that attended Newt's meeting actually came and voted and those many "young people" who came to see Dr Paul and chant "End the Fed" simply sat home and 420ed. The statistics appear to support my theory.

It's also the people who hate politics, hate talking about them, and hate it when family brings it up. Yet somehow, they make it their duty to go and vote. Don't get me wrong, it's their right to vote. But for crying out loud! At least be responsible enough to do some research on the candidates before performing the one right you're not taking for granted!

Look at the voting demographics. There's your answer.

There's always so much enthusiasm for Ron Paul. Then you ask the kids holding the signs if they voted, and they say "oh no I'm not registered, I just really like Ron Paul."
Despite hours of phone banking and sign waving and plastering the area with signs, and God knows how many other tactics, this is all we got out of the youth vote.
