Get rid of the homemade signs

I've seen some damn good home made signs. Of course I've also seen the signs on a regular piece of plywood with nothing but Ron Paul spray painted by hand. It's nice to see support, but yeah, I get the idea that at least buying some stencils would have gone a long way for presentation.

I can see both sides this argument. Carrying campaign-made signs, dressing up GQ style, escorting elderly ladies across the street (while slipping a slim jim into their purse lol) etc., are somethings that we as supporters might want to consider since we are in first place. It's called evolution.

Also, maybe most people who donate their entire paychecks consistently can't afford signs....so they make them. I personally don't care what these signs look like as long as it reads Dr. Paul's name or anything related to his stances. Calling homemade signs "tacky" is something Martha Stewart would probably say, although the people wearing the "911 Truth" t-shirts do make us look like fools. One is for sure: No one can stop an individual from expressing his or herself, regardless of how it may be viewed by FauxNews and Co.

I don't think my homemade sign looks tacky, does it?

Looks great! +rep

Nothing at all wrong with homemade signs. They aren't going to make or break the election. Other efforts will get more votes. But if that's what you want to do have at it.

For the truthers, believe what you want it's your right, but it would be helpful if you didn't combine that agenda with Ron's campaign.

I'm not active, at all, in the current election or actively campaigning for Dr. Paul. Last election, I was the regional coordinator in Northwest Pennsylvania for the Paul campaign. So I was in it pretty heavily, and I was blinded by the idea that just maybe Ron Paul could win. Well, I was wrong, and I was naive.

Now that I'm on the outside looking in, still very much a fan and supporter of Ron Paul, I must beg you all to NOT USE HOME-MADE SIGNS.

They are BEYOND TACKY. Nothing says "wacko fringe candidate" like a home-made sign.

Okay, I get it, you spent all this time at your "sign-making party" and all of you are so excited about Ron Paul and blah blah blah.. yeah, I've been there, forget it.

Home-made signs are horrible. O'Reilly and Hannity is saying that Ron Paul is a fringe wacko, and home-made signs being held by people wearing "911 TRUTH" t-shirts are doing nothing but harm.

So try to step back now and then, remain tactful, and ACT AS IF. Act as if that Ron Paul is a top-tier candidate. Act as if he has a legitimate chance in the election. It's like trying to catch a girl that you have a crush on. Act like a desperate fool, and you'll only creep them out. Act as though it has legitimacy and possibly a chance at becoming reality, and people tend to take you more seriously.

Flame away, just my thoughts that I felt the need to share.

You think you're the only guy who poured his guts out into Ron Paul and got hurt?

Get back on the horse man!!

Seriously. I gave up my life and a good paycheck to live in poverty and canvass 3 states in 2008 on a wish and a prayer. My God the downtrodden soldier at Valley Forge marched on frozen feet that BROKE THE FK OFF and they still fought. Summer soldiers and sunshine patriots shall in this present crisis shrink...

It's time to blow up and win this dam thing.

I say make a home made sign but put a disclaimer on it that says "no big banker or corporate money paid for this sign"

Honestly, isn't this a great idea? If people would start to add this disclaimer on a nationwide scale it would really help cement the idea that Paul is anti-establishment and incorruptible.

I would add lobbyist to the disclaimer as well though.

there are two sides to this,
our media fed masses who are interested in "Next America President" - American Idol style, will pay attention to these things and make their minds about Dr. Paul
on the other hand, the people more focused on issues, wont mind these at all.
It may in fact pull in more previous non-voters.

, I must beg you all to NOT USE HOME-MADE SIGNS.

I can show you video of the Obama campaign passing out "homemade" signs during the 2008 election cycle.
