The main German tabloid/daily newspaper carries an article about Super-Tuesday and they for some strange reason decided to admit RPs existance and included him in the poll with even a picture (this is a first for that pos-paper).

Help us poor German paulites who are trapped in collectivist sphere and vote the hell out of that poll, remember it is the #1 daily paper here, 8mil circulation. As I write this, we are just one point above Romney. Help!

Not to be rude, but what difference does an international paper make in a US presidential primary?

Natürlich mussten sie das Wort "radikal" benutzen um Ron Paul zu beschreiben...

For you today, not much. But the few of us over here who still oppose the semi-socialism we are being spoonfed would appreciate the support.

Liberty is is an international language. Borders are arbitrary and I want everyone to be free, not just people in my country. I may be Dutch, but I want Paul te become elected to send a message to the rest of the world and to get more people interested in liberty. Hell, Paul's 2007 run has already converted thousands, maybe even millions of people worldwide, to libertarianism.

Anyway. The German media no doubt knows that we bomb the crap out of RP polls. So let's chill when we hit 50% and wait for the other candidates to pick up so it won't look spammed.

I have relatives in Germany still. I have to wonder how they feel about Ron Paul.

This means almost nothing. Do you know who reads Bild?

Although, I would be shocked to see Ron Paul's face in a "newspaper" over here.

babelfish tells me they are asking which republican is to provoke Obama?
I'll assume we want Ron Paul to provoke Obama.
I went ahead and co-ordinated.

Paul 46%
Romney 32%
Santorum 17%
Gingrich 5%

Super Tuesday showdown in the U.S. for large pre-battle
Votes in ten states + + + Today will decide who competes against Obama + + + Romney leads in key state of Ohio against challenger Santorum + + + BILD.de reported tonight LIVE!
03.06.2012 - 17:49 clock
Report on the U.S. primaries: Katja Stumpp, David Ruch and Christoph Kueppers

On this day they have weeks, if not prepared for months: "Super Tuesday" in the United States. The Super Tuesday primaries with the Republicans in ten states.

Finally, a decision should fall on the challenger to U.S. President Barack Obama (50). At least a preliminary decision!

The initial projections of the night - BILD.de will report live.

WHO, WHAT, WHAT, WHERE?

The former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (64), shall continue as a favorite. But he has the nomination in the bag yet. He had the other three remaining candidates roll up your sleeves and hoof it through the states.

Shortly before the primaries, Romney was properly tailwind: First, two leading Republican members of Congress spoke out for his nomination, Eric Cantor and Tom Coburn.

Second, the recent survey it was extremely competitive in key state of Ohio now looks ahead of his rival Rick Santorum (53).

The arch-conservative former senator from Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum, abortion and gay marriage rejects in the strongest terms, was in the last week in Ohio, polls still well ahead of Romney.

The new Quinnipiac University survey, according to the wind has turned, however, apparently: Romney led with 34 percent against Santorum, therefore (31 percent).

Ohio is a classic "swing state" with changing majorities of Democrats and Republicans. Who are the Republican supporters here can not be expected to mobilize against Obama in the fall have major problems.

The vote in Ohio is considered the most important prize of the "Super Tuesday": Who wants to be in the United States President, is the traditional rule of thumb, must win in this state.

Ohio is particularly affected by economic crisis and unemployment.

Romney, who many in the conservative camp is too liberal and the suspect as a Mormon, especially the evangelical Christians remain, even after his recent victories under pressure.

In his home state of Michigan, he had won - but by far not as pronounced as expected. Santorum, who attracted attention recently with strong criticism of Obama ("he is a false Christ") he stayed on his heels.

East Coast states are likely to go to Romney, the conservative tendency to South Georgia on the choice of Santorum.

The former Parliament Speaker Newt Gingrich (68) and the radical liberal Congressman Ron Paul (76) are currently far behind - only a miracle could bring into play again.

Although Gingrich will probably win in his home state of Georgia. In the overall view that brings him no further.

Primaries are held in the following states in four time zones: Alaska, Idaho, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Virginia, Vermont and Massachusetts.

It's about 437 delegates to the nominating convention in August. Who wants to challengers of incumbent Barack Obama be elected, need 1144 votes.

The winner in a state gets all the delegates' votes, but not automatically. Ohio awards, for example, by district, in which a candidate wins. The road to the 1144 vote is so tedious.

Because of its financial strength and its good campaign organization Romney is the favorite for the nomination. However, he meets with the conservative base of the party with reservations.

And Gingrich and Santorum have publicly vowed not to throw in the towel until the nominating convention in August to fight.

Barack Obama in national polls currently further ahead of the Republican candidates. On average, about five percent - it was before Romney or Santorum. A comfortable lead is not.

THE GREAT BATTLE OF CHOICE

BILD.de provides an overview of where and when elected, and who where the front is:

OHIO:

There, the voting has already begun at 12.30 GMT clock, and the polling stations close twelve hours later. In the Midwestern state to direct all eyes because he is always very competitive in presidential elections. Surveys to see the ex-governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, and former Senator Rick Santorum head to head - the recipe for a long U.S. election night.

VIRGINIA:

In the important state of the voters were already at 12:00 CET clock to the polls, then closes at 01.00 GMT on Wednesday clock. There, however, occur only at Mitt Romney and Representative Ron Paul. Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum had not been able to collect 000 signatures of supporters, each 10 - the requirement to be eligible for election. Surveys to see clearly a victory for Romney in the pre race favorites on the horizon.

TENNESSEE:

There, the polling stations opened at 13.00 GMT clock and close 13 hours later. Observers in Washington assume that Romney's candidacy is sure if he decides next to the Ohio election in the southern state of its own. But surveys Romney and Santorum look almost the same level - the promise of power.

VERMONT:

In the small New England state, voters vote for twelve hours, between 13:00 and 01:00 CET clock clock CET on Wednesday. Romney is ahead, according to surveys, but not too clearly his worst competitor Santorum.

GEORGIA:

Here are the polling stations opened at 13.00 GMT clock and close twelve hours later. It is the home state of former Parliament Speaker Newt Gingrich - and then tell him the polls also predicted a clear victory. It would only Gingrich's second.

MASSACHUSETTS:

This may also be selected since 13.00 CET clock, but an hour longer than in Georgia. In the east coast state favorite Romney was once Governor. A victory of the multimillionaire's polls show a clear thing.

OKLAHOMA:

In the conservative state in the Midwest, voters were able to clock 14.00 CET to be launched and then have twelve hours to vote. Polls predicted a clear victory for the ultra-conservative and deeply religious Santorum.

NORTH DAKOTA:

In the sparsely populated state in the north of the U.S. citizens to determine caucuses (caucuses) 0:30 to 3:30 CET on Wednesday to their favorite Republican.

IDAHO:

There, the caucuses go to the election of the candidates to clock 04.30 GMT on Wednesday.

ALASKA:

In the very remote country, the citizens between 02.00 und 07.00 clock to meet on Wednesday to caucus.

10:30AM Pacific....Ron Paul now leading quitely nicely with 42%....Mitt at 35%
Gee, never voted in German before. Go Ron Go!

And here is part of the problem. We get way too excited for meaningless online polls. I have never understood the fascination with spamming these polls. Way too many people here think that is going to accomplish something. With all the online polls we have successfully tilted to our favor, what has it done? RP is still the only one left running who hasn't won a state. Instead of searching out every web poll to vote in maybe it be best to focus more on stuff that matters with actual votes.

I am convinced that some of you think the online polls mean something.
