generating a positive message

FMN had a very interesting article today, which advises Ron turn his message around from the present "negatives" stance... what will be cut, what programs will disappear, etc, to a positive one. What the cuts mean to average Americans etc. More money in your pocket, better services...

Ron Paul is an American - the best kind of American. He believes in the resilience of the American spirit, in Yankee Ingenuity, in the private enterprise that made America great. He believes that the America that once was - the America of free-markets and limited government - can arise again. With the help of the Internet, that is occurring even now.

What are your opinions on this? Could we change OUR message about ron paul to one that focuses on the positives?

Ya, wouldn't hurt at all. I think people who don't know, want more depth as to why he wants those things cut.

That IS the problem with communicating the libertarian message: too often, people assume that "libertarianism" means one holds his or her views for selfish reasons. That's partially true, as I care deeply about my individualism, but, I also believe that in pursuing liberty for myself, I am contributing to the liberty and prosperity of all.

As much as possible, when I bring up government powers that I believe to be unconstitutional and would like to see cut/disappear, I try to remind the other posters that I also believe that in doing so, there will be an overall improvement to our society.
