Gary North's Strategy for Ron Paul to Win - and BEYOND

This is all pie in the sky.

We need to take this movement to another party or establish a new one, and run Ron in the general election this year. At his age, this will be his last chance.

We need to either accept the Libertarian party's invitation, or start a new "Liberty" party from which to build our power and influence.

The Republican Party is dead.

youre wrong, because as paul himself has said, the system is rigged against 3rd parties, so good fucking luck!

Regardless of where Gary North himself is coming from, my sense is that the movement is going to have to commit to a long-term vision to start the kind of change we all want. I wonder what kind of difference we could make if, say, even 65% of the grassroots were to stay active for the next four years?

For me, the long-term possibilities of what this movement could accomplish under Dr. Paul's leadership are even more motivating than what is attainable in the '08 race.

Please do research on Gary North before jumping in bed with his ideas.

No one is saying Gary North is perfect. And yes, he has missed on several forecasts and issues. But you should separate the ideas from the man. Is what he is saying valid or not? Make your own determination.

Did Ron Paul become a candidate because he believed from the start that he would secure the nomination? He's stated quite often about his surprise at the response to his message. I've thought for some time that he became a candidate in order to get the message of liberty out, to inject into the debate some salient issues and the constitution. The possibility of gaining the nominations and/or the presidency is great, but was that the realistic expectation he began with? It wasn't the realistic expectation I began with as a RP supporter -- the system is stacked against him. However, once the message gets out and grows with our support and participation, there will come the day when the system will not be able to withstand it, whether that's in 2008 or another time.

It's not about Ron Paul; it's about the message of liberty. We want Dr. Paul to be President, but even more important is that the message is spread and that the flames of freedom are fanned into a burning inferno that the establishment cannot stop. If that doesn't happen, we face some awefully dark times ahead.

No one said it would be easy . . .

The Cat is out of the bag

The coup is virtually fete compli.

If you think the media doesn't know aboiut Ron Paul you are Naive.

Why do you think they've black balled him?

They know exactly what he is aboiut and what they are doing, as does your fascist government.

No one knows how Paul polled in Iowa or New Hampshire. The voting is clearly rigged. The first thing that must be done is to return to paper ballots, and third party verification. Without this it doesn't matter what you do.

This country has been siezed by fascist globalists. They own the media. They will be able to control political discourse in this country from now on. Look at H.R. 1955. I'm telling you it is a done deal. It passed the house 400 to 6.

Very soon the economy will be purposefully pushed over the brink, and thie fiasco that follows will usher in marshall law. At that time, all pretenses of liberty will be dropped.

If you manage to organize and run candidates who oppose this nazi regime, and can garner a majority, you still have rigged elections. These fascists have no intention of ever letting go of the power and wealth. And as you will soon see, they don't mind letting blood to do it. Your elected officials know who controls the power. Don't expect any help from them. Look at who voted for all the fascist legislation. Look who sat quietly by while Bush wrote himself absolute power to control you and the rest of the population.

The picture is bleak. But there it is. I suggest you get as rich as you can as quick as you can, convert your assets to gold, and hang on.

Some people here are suggesting the world is going to blow up if we don't win. Things will get bad but the world isn't going to end. Gary North is right but I detect fear among a lot of supporters here. Very much are people in a lot of denial over the need to penetrate all levels of government in a stealth manner. Even if Ron got elected, he would only manage to be able to do one thing, bring the troops home. Other than that Ron would have a hard time dealing with congress without support from us to do things. The two party system is the only system we have and we should use it to our advantage. Get on the tickets as Republican or Democrat and become an agent of change. Get out the No votes in your area. For example: here in California we have a bunch of Indian gaming props that I'm pushing a No vote to everyone I know. It's time that these clowns be heald responsible for overspending in government and I refuse to let them tax people and expand Indian gaming casinos at our expense for their mistakes. Get out the vote no campaigns on everything. Halt the governments power.

Gary North's suggestion is fine except, the gov. is working toward putting an end to home schooling, and regulating the internet, so how could something like this work???????

I am all for this.

Even if we elected Ron Paul in this election cycle, it wouldn't be enough. We have to start at the bottom and work up.

Exactly and a good point.

Very true. This is what I have been planning all along.. no specific plan yet, but I do want to get elected to a local office, no matter how small. Even if Dr. Paul was polling at 50% nationally I would still be planning on getting elected locally; not because I want to have power over people, but because I want to turn the power back to them, whether they want it or not :)

The movement is like the anti-bodies to a cultural disease.

youre wrong, because as paul himself has said, the system is rigged against 3rd parties, so good fucking luck!

And then Ron introduced legislation to force each state to have unrestrictive ballot access laws for federal candidates. HR 3600 is Congressman Ron Paul’s bill to outlaw restrictive ballot access laws for U.S. House elections. The bill sets a ceiling of 1,000 signatures for candidates for the U.S. House.

So obviously Ron wants third parties to succeed. Everyone recognizes how difficult it is for third parties, but Ross Perot and Jesse Ventura prove it isn't completely impossible.

About Gary North's ideas: the Libertarian Party has been trying this approach for many years. They have been getting members appointed to positions and elected to city councils. It really hasn't accomplished much. What exactly is a council member going to do about non-local issues? I really haven't seen any specific policy template or blueprint that could guide local politicians on how to roll back government. I just know that the state and federal government offer all kinds of grants and funding for various things, most local officials would be foolish to reject the money. They would be voted out right away for turning down funds that some other city would get anyway.

In my opinion, the problem starts at the top. Cut off the head and the body dies, or whatever.

Robert Heinlein, the science fiction writer, wrote a book about this same issue. Not many in circulation. It talks about how to run a campaign and convince people over to your side:

Gary North is one of the 3 people thought to have written those nasty newsletters. People who know him and don't like him call him a racist.

I think it would be best to steer away from this.
