What office should've Gary ran for?
The best way to make sure a libertarian candidate NEVER wins is to talk people out of voting for them. What office should've Gary ran for?
He took all of the credibility that came with being a 2 term governor and destroyed it when he joined the Libertarian Party.
Had he ran for New Mexico senate after he dropped out of the GOP primary, I have no doubt our grassroots would have gotten behind him 100% and he would have had an outstanding chance of winning.
Instead he's doing everything he can to ruin his future in politics.
Lean to the left, lean to the right, stand up, sit down, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! Gooooooo REPUBLICANS!!
So he could start PLAYING POLITICS = CUTTING DEALS like Rand Paul, so we could "win" MORE POWER to elect more Game Players?
Are you one of the Ron Paul Fans who believes it is too soon to call the Republican nomination a DONE DEAL . . . despite Ron Paul's senator son last month endorsing MITT ROMNEY, his beloved father's sole opponent and obstacle to the title?
Regardless, November is quite soon enough to proclaim Gary Johnson's third-party be a failure, dontcha think?
Ron Paul Die Hards, OF ALL PEOPLE, should appreciate that GETTING ONTO THE DAMN BALLOT is its own achievement. DONE DEAL on that, for Gary Johnson.
No, not fight fight go republicans, it's fight fight get liberty oriented people in positions of power. Having one more of 100 US senators gets us infinitely closer to that goal then garnering less than 5% in a general election.
I'm sorry, maybe I was confused but I thought the goal was to get liberty politicians in power.
If you think Gary Johnson is going to cut a deal you dislike as a US Senator...
But yes, the goal is to WIN...
If your goal is not to win positions of power then you are of no help towards our goal.
No, I am not, and I think those who are tend to be completely delusional.
Look at his amateurish ads,
...look at his complete lack of money...
...look at his complete lack of an organization...
...and finally look at, by virtue of the utter failure of these basic campaign needs, how he has thoroughly failed to capitalize on the liberty movement's progress...
If he were "capitalizing on the Moovement's progress, he'd be vilified for THAT.
It is NOT Gary Johnson's doing or fault that Ron Paul elected NOT to grasp the Libertarian Party nomination that was HIS FOR THE ASKING.
...while the GOP strategy has proven extremely effective.
He could have done a lot of good in the Senate. He probably would have won handily.
As of this time, 93% say Johnson should not have run on the LP ticket after losing the GOP nomination. Something tells me that at least 93% of this same group would be supportive if it was Ron Paul who decided to run for the LP presidency after losing the GOP nomination.
