Gary Johnson Gary Johnson: Paul-Johnson ticket 'not a political reality'

And while were at it bring back all the Paul/Palin and Paul/Kusunich threads too. As if there weren't enough of them.

:(

I do agree with you on this. Too many Governor Johnson threads. Fact is, most are made to besmirch him, not promote him. So complain to the Governor Johnson haters.

I would never support anyone who wasn't opposed to the war on drugs or the income tax.

And I would never vote for someone who is pro-choice. And I bet there are more voters like me. :)

I would vote for a Paul/Romney, Paul/Palin, Paul/Huckabee (haha, yeah right), Paul/Demint, Paul/Daniels, or Paul/Pawlenty, over a Paul/Johnson or Johnson/Paul ticket.

Lies, Lies and more lies. It's ok to prefer Congressman Paul but, at least be honest about others opinions.

Dude, check his website, and watch his interviews. He clearly states that he wants to "reduce" income taxes (just like every republican says), and when pressed on other drugs he has clearly said that he only wants to legalize MJ. Truth.

god forbid we as libertarians advocate choice!!!

Gary Johnson = Ron Paul in 1988.

I think he'd be working against himself if he ran for POTUS against Paul.
He'd have the entire Paulite base backing him if he waited for 2016, unless of course Rand is gearing up for a shot at the WH then...

I got the opportunity to talk to Gary Johnson Saturday. I asked him "So you're definitely running" he replied "well...to a point I am." Take that for what it's worth, but I think, if he was being honest, he is running to help Dr. Paul and hopeful for down the road.

I hope Gary wasn't offended when I shook his hand and told him I voted for him 2nd and a Paul/Johnson ticket is what I wanted.

I don't think Gary would've have scored as near as high as he did if it wasn't for us.

What does "to a point" mean? Until "the point" Ron Paul announces?

This thread exemplifies at least half of the reason that Ron Paul will never win the Presidency. Too many people in the movement are caught up with arguing minor internal differences, and don't concern themselves enough with preaching to the yet-to-be-converted.

This wasn't ever going to be 2 or 4 year fight, and yet people are acting like if we don't get "our guy" to be the President within 4 years of the movement starting, then we're all screwed. Newsflash: this is a fight that will last decades. Ron Paul is the start, not end, of something great.

Gary is not "pro-open borders" or "pro-amnesty," but he is "pro-legal immigration"

Bullshit. If he weren't pro open borders or pro amnesty he wouldn't employ border jumping illegals at his business. I can tell you for a fact that he does. Hey when you're done kissing his ass? Ask him why he and his company wouldn't even interview well trained, skilled workers with impeccable references and University schooling yet called up and hired illegals who can't even speak English with 3rd grade Educations the same day they applied. Thanks.

Is anyone else getting annoyed with all these Gary Johnson threads?

Yeah they get pretty old pretty quick.

He doesn't own a business, and he hasn't in over a decade. If that's what's happening at Big J Enterprises right now, you're barking up the wrong tree because Gary no longer has any say over what happens there.

Well, if you're going to accusing me of spreading lies, the least you could do is point to some evidence that backs your accusation.

OK. When you post saying Gary doesn't support legalized prostitution and I post his actual quote.... that would be evidence. Again, you dodged that because it showed you were misrepresenting his stance. Most here have listened to Governor Johnson and seen his record. He was the first on the legalizing train while in office, when it was not popular.

To Bama Fan who keeps saying my posts are lies:
Right from the Gary Johnson website http://ouramericainitiative.com/issues/economy

"# CUT TAXES: The U.S. tax system imposes an enormous toll on productivity through high marginal rates, absurd complexity, loopholes for the well connected, and incentives for wasteful decisions. The government must lower the tax burden to stimulate the economy. This means:

* Eliminate punitive taxation of savings and investment.
* Simplify the tax code; stop using it to reward special interests and control behavior.
* Adopt a flat tax on income or consumption."

He is NOT for ending the income tax. The fact that he even mentions "consumption" shows you how far he is from Ron Paul's position, and the liberty position here. "Simplifying the tax code" has been talked about by republicans for decades, this is by no means a pro-liberty stance!

Sorry didn't see your post with this quote. On that Sean Hannity interview I posted, he denied wanting prostitution to be legalized, and said he only wanted MJ legal, not all those other drugs.

yes he was a sellout with hannity, he said he only wanted pot to be legal. What about heroin, what about blow? GJ thinks meth should still be illegal?
