Anyone knows anything about Liam Fox? After googling quickly, it doesn't seem to me like he has any libertarian tendencies (as opposed to Daniel Hannan), so any guesses why he is invited?
I searched a little about David Cameron, and found some good tendencies with regard to civil liberties ("...terrorists want to destroy our freedom, and when we trash our liberties we do their work for them..."), see PMQ here.

The Shadow Cabinet is the Cabinet put together by the opposition party (the main party not in power), so right now the Liberals would hold the Defense Minister position so the Shadow Minister would be the guy picked by the Conservative opposition that gives alternative policies to the Defense Minister.
