[Free] Bill Still's new Economic Documentary on Youtube

Although I'm a true Austrian I do find the history / solutions put forth in this documentary very interesting.

What do you guys think?

I have only watched the Money Masters. Loved it at the moment. In fact I loved it so much that watched it three times in one month.

And that movie was one of the main reasons I started studying monetary policy. That led me to discover austrian economics and other historic references, and then I realized Bill Still's take on history and specially monetary policy is flawed. Big time.

I am not a fan of the premise that the elected officials can use fiat at their will which of course will end up making the government the most prosperous if they get to use it first...

Gold and silver would constrain the government (and we WANT little to no Government which is LIBERTY).

This seems like a demand for more tyranny even if it is attacking the banking cartel.

I have never heard this claim of his before that the "Continental dollar" was counterfeited by the british to destroy its value. Can anyone confirm this?

It's on my to-watch list, even though I disagree with the fiat stuff. I'll still listen to arguments.

I guess you could say the film writers share a dislike of the fraudulent banking cartel....its just that they are comfortable with a fraudulent Government in the drivers seat...

What they are asking for would be great if the government had no legal tender laws...that way anyone could compete with their fiat currency.

hugolp, can you share some of the books/works you read? I am curious to investigate the historical claims in this film just as you did.

Thanks
