Anybody here have any experience with Fragmentation ammo??

I've been running around with Magsafe Defenders in my CCW .40.. and have just now started to do some research on that type of ammo.

Apparently, it looks good from a "testing" standpoint, but I've seen some site that say it lacks in penetration if it's blocked by a limb first.

So now I'm second guessing my choice, and may switch to regular hollow points.

Anyone here have any insight, preferences?? I'm on the fence, cause it seems that there's a bunch of sites touting that type of ammo as the "miracle bullet", and others that say it sucks.:p

What say the RPFr's?? :D

Thanks.

I have a Mag full in my CWP now.. but after seeing some tests, I began to doubt if that was the right choice.

Thanks for the links.. that pretty much answers my question. I'll go and discharge them my next range trip, and switch to my hollow points.

$20 for 8rds....LOL.. lesson learned.

have to swap them from the wifes .380 too.. so I guess that's $40.. :p

Thanks again.. didn't even think about checking the good 'ole box o truth. I love that site.

These frangible bullets are mainly for training; shooting steel at close range. A rifle round that is easily defeated by soft body armor is pointless.
