It is an interview with Lamassu CEO Zach Harvey of Nashua, New Hampshire. His company will be at CES in Las Vegas, NV this month and Liberty Forum in Nashua, NH next month. If you attended the ISFLC, Liberty Forum or 1 of the regional SFL Conferences in the Northeast last year, you likely met Zach. He's also demonstrated his machine at bitcoin meetups around the Northeast.

So what comes out of a Bitcoin ATM? more bitcoins or fiat currency? and only God knows what amount a bitcoin ATM will charge per withdrawal.

I bet Jeff Berwick is kicking himself. He was one of the people spearheading this effort but then backed out because gov'ts began to turn nasty.

I think you just put in like $20 and a wallet # and they send $20 worth of bitcoin to your wallet. Edit: You can probably send bitcoin and get back fiat currency as well, not sure. (nope).

I am sure there is a transaction charge but it's probably not totally astronomical.

live free or die
Yeah. The interviewer is like you know New Hampshire is the Live Free or Die state. New Hampshire is libertarian central or something. I'm not saying he is wrong. It was pretty interesting to see an interviewer I am clueless about say that. I expert and see that stuff from John Stossel but not this random dude.

Nice to hear the transmitter clause explained. As long as it is BTC in only, you could put these in all sorts of places without worrying about the laws as they currently are.

Very cool video.

He must have not had a very good legal team explaining to him in simple terms that "BTC in only" is okay. He could have easily modified it to just do that instead of selling his ATM to another company.

I've been hearing news about this. The recent one is Bitcoin vending machine Robocoin in a Canadian coffee shop. I find it very cool and useful (cash, deposit and buy merchandises). Sorry, don’t know how much the withdrawal fee was.
