Gary Johnson Fox tweaked rules specifically to let Gary Johnson into the next debate - wonder why?

I'm glad ,hope he does well . I think it's a good thing ,the more spreading the libertarian/fiscal conservative message;the better;imho.

It is odd that they bend their own rules to let one bottom-tier former Governor in (Johnson) but not another (Roemer). Probably are looking to hurt Paul, or allocate some of his speaking time to Johnson.

This is a Fox debate right? Maybe they are letting Gary in because he has been on Hannity a few times???

I'm sure that is true. Still, debates should be more fair. On the other hand, it still isn't fair, to those still left out, and I am sure it is purposeful.

They were clearly pushing him over Ron early on. I think they delude themselves thinking he'll split Ron's vote but he simply is a completely different candidate.

Another voice to back up Ron's foreign policy and drown out Santorum's bs.

I hope Gary goes apeshit and acts as Ron's de-facto attack dog. take on Perry and Romney. I'd love to see him carve out his own 5% niche (exclusive from our piece of the pie, of course.)

One of the big things they don't seem to get is Paul's 30 year record. They have no one that can match that.

I think whatever vote-splitting occurs will be cancel out (or more), by gains that will made with respect to the idea that Ron Paul's solutions and vision aren't really crazy at all, and can indeed be implemented in the modern day, in the real world (at least the ones that overlap with Johnson's tenure as Governor of New Mexico).

Indeed. The way I see it, Santorum is the establishment's 1% attack dog. Now we have our own.

Johnson isn't the same as Ron on foreign policy, he believes in humanitarian wars, for example. However, he might go after some of Ron's antiwar support. And in any event, I am sure Fox wants to dilute Ron's support, or they wouldn't have bothered manipulating numbers for just one candidate.

Ron presents his own ideas better than Gary does, imho. Mind you I only saw Gary in one debate, but I've seen him in other things. Anyhow, it is what it is.

Lol it's a conspiracy when he's not let in, it's a conspiracy when he is let in.

OK, YOU explain why they ONLY bend the rules for Johnson.... and this is the second time... they did it in the first debate as well. But not for the other candidates.

Not really a conspiracy. But I bet they will ask him questions directly about Ron Paul.

The Establishment is trying to skew Ron Paul's vote. If you don't believe me, think about this:

Why does he consistently not get mainstream media coverage? If these media corporations don't give him time, what interest would they have in supporting him? The HISTORY of his political career is this; He gets marginalized. And when you see how much he is shaking things up then you will realize that people don't want these real issues being discussed. And so they bring in Gary Johnson to dilute his vote, hopefully shrinking his poll numbers and to make him not stand out.

Some might say if he stands out, that's a bad thing for him. This is not the case. Why? Because at the end of the day, BECAUSE he stands out, people REMEMBER him. And believe me, the Establishment does not want people to know who he is.

In summary, if a person like Gary Johnson comes to the stage and cites similar viewpoints as Ron Paul, Ron Paul's spotlight gets diminished. This does, however, give the issues a bigger spotlight. And the political conversation is what we need to control. So this is good and bad for those fighting for Liberty.

The last thing I would like to say...... Once a person becomes a Ron Paul supporter, they never go back. Ron's campaign does not need to worry about losing supporters. No one will steal his votes.
