man, I have lost a lot of respect for mccain. He used to be much more of a gentleman who didn't look like the remaining bunch of the neocons, his stance against torture and sticking by it (against most of the repubs), and his service to this country. But for some reason he turns into another guilliani/romney whenever RP is on the table. i wish I can ask him whats so funny in what RP is stating? the collapsing economy? the unaffordable war? the irresponsible foreign policy?

But i think this was faily a good debate for RP. he presented his points with more energy (at least compared to the last one on abc) and didn't let these mofos cut him off.

I can't believe Fox showed Ron Paul winning the poll. They're way too dishonest to willingly let him win. Are there monitors watching the process? Are they setting up for a "Ron Paul spammers fanatics" run? Did they realize they couldnt get away with having someone else win after hearing all that applause for Ron? Did they hire an outside firm to run the cell phone poll that didn't know they were supposed to massage the numbers? What is Fox up to?

I can't believe Fox showed Ron Paul winning the poll. They're way too dishonest to willingly let him win. Are there monitors watching the process? Are they setting up for a "Ron Paul spammers fanatics" run? Did they realize they couldnt get away with having someone else win after hearing all that applause for Ron? I think there are some old quotes lying around where McCain has been extremely complimentary of Dr. Paul and his admiration for his incorruptability while serving in Congress in the past. The problem this time around is that McCain is uncomfortable with someone else occupying the "maverick" role on stage and on the campaign trail. I bet his advisors have also told him that Paul's 10% is hurting HIM in particular given his reputation as the big John "Mr. New Hampshire Libertarian Tell 'em like it is" McCain... he must figure that at least some of those votes would be his if he could knock Dr. Paul down a few notches...

Nail on head. This makes much more sense than McCain being a Manchurian candidate hitman for David Rockefeller, my previous theory.

A couple of times, I've seen McCain being extra-friendly towards RP after the mics went dead. Also, he looks very unnatural and uncomfortable when performing his attacks on RP (fixed grin, bulging neck, eyelid twitch). It's just politics but goes against his grain. I have zero respect for McCain anymore.
