The Weekly Standard said:
The latest Fox News poll shows Newt Gingrich leading the Republican presidential field, edging Mitt Romney. Gingrich now has the support of 23 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, compared with 22 percent for Romney, 15 percent for Herman Cain, 8 percent for Ron Paul, 7 percent for Rick Perry, 6 percent for Michele Bachmann, 3 percent for Jon Huntsman, and 2 percent for Rick Santorum.

That was yesterday's Fox News poll, which like Rasmussen (they use the same company) is very establishment Republican oriented, not paying much attention to cross over votes which will be pretty GOP leaning this time, since there is no real race on the Dem side. At least Ron beat out Perry.

Where do they find these people, and what do they slip into their tea?

Okay, boys and girls, you've given everyone Rupert approves of a turn on top now--except that bratty Santorum kid, and that's all right with me. Don't you think it's time to ignore Rupert get behind the only one that can beat Obama?

Landlines and cell phones used. Can't find a ratio or what age group (I only scanned the report over). And Ron Paul was the most unlikable? This feels like selective polling.

I just wish somebody would conduct a poll asking people if they have ever been polled. I want to know who is being polled and why. I ask people EVERY DAY and I run into a LOT of people and in the course of five years of asking I got ONE yes answer. Try it yourselves and see what you come up with. We need to expose these polls because I have seen them too many times to exclude viable candidates from debates and television mention. ANYBODY who has worked for a third party candidate will confirm it.

Why would the Tea Party support a spend happy fatcat like Ginger? Isn't this the party that fought tooth and nail for a balanced budget this past summer?

If this isn't pure propaganda, I don't now what is.

HEY, TEA PARTIERS! Go to Newt now!

Love, Fox

We need to work on those national poll numbers (I am so excited that our Ron Paul group is going to be kicking off in Auburn tonight), but the nice numbers in Iowa and even NH have me much more excited than this 8% number. We can do it. I don't know why FOX continues to drop the ball - for the "non-mainstream media", they sure do a good job of pumping up mainstream candidates like Gingrich. Things like this just expose the pretenders.

I'm always willing to believe that some pollings bureaus simply speak to their own database-people.... but this is not polling the wrong people, this is rigging the polls.

Definitely FAKE POLL (and that's the first time I ever say that). BECAUSE:
- No way that if 8% is voting Ron Paul, only 2% will say Ron Paul has the best chance to beat Obama (I know Paul-supporters, not 75% is that pessimistic)
- Ron Paul might not be liked be he's definitely not the least liked candidate!!
- Not everyone will agree with Ron Paul's foreign policy, but NEVER EVER is Ron Paul the person who is to be least trusted with nuclear arms. WTF?! He is the last person to use force or bombs, how the hell can the fearmongering protorture -people be more trusted with nuclear weapons?!?!?!

We need to work on that number. But hey its Fox..Frank Luntz probably made the 500 phone calls and asked...

Do you look on the also ran gadfly isolationist libertarian Ron Paul Favorably or Unfavorably:rolleyes:

They had the Ghoul running away in the polls in 07

Bottom Line. Fox is irrelevant

What Tea Party person in their right mind would get behind someone who supported TARP, the individual mandate, and shilled for Fannie and Freddie?

Tea Party my ass! If that's really the case then just wait until we send Rand in there two weeks leading up to the election! Rand imo, could make a very big impact with these tea party groups that don't see eye to eye with Ron, but obviously like Rand. He could seal the deal amongst those groups and even the traditional republicans. Hopefully the campaign fully utilizes Rand at the most opportune moment.

He is the last person to use force or bombs, how the hell can the fearmongering protorture -people be more trusted with nuclear weapons?!?!?!

Simple--you only ask people who want those nuclear weapons used.

Well appears the Establishment Fascist Media given orders to pump up Newt, between today's $10 Million CNN freebee political infomercial and FAUX FOX FAKE News and Polling to the sheeple to steer the public once again.

So I didn't catch the NEWS CORP memo... Did the Tea Party send a collective 50 million signatures to FOX to back No Noot Gingrich?

The BS Poll Lying and Media games are getting obvious and ridiculous.

I don't know. I think that PPP polls of Ron Paul favorability with 18-29 is the only number that looks like a lie to me.

I don't think I'd necessarily say that Ron Paul has the best chance to beat Obama. The question doesn't necessarily assume that the choice has won the Republican Nomination. Part of that question is "who do you think will win the nomination". They didn't say, "if they won the nomination".

Romney, also, has done the best head to head against Obama in the polls. Sometimes we come in 2nd.

When PPP says that we have 9% favorability with 18-29 - that's a lie. I can buy all the data above.
