Research? RESEARCH???
Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
I would be willing to bet anything you care to name that a majority of voters in any national election would not be able to pass a test of basic political questions. And I mean basic.
In fact, I've often thought that someone should not be allowed to vote if unable to answer two out of three basic questions along the following lines:
* Name the two Senators from your state
* Name your congressional Representative
* Who is the vice president?
* What are the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution called?
* Name two of your rights as enumerated in the Bill of Rights
* How many justices are on the Supreme Court?
* Who is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court?
* Who is currently the Speaker of the House?
* After the President and Vice President, who is third in line in presidential succession?
* Name the three branches of government
* Who is currently Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces?
* How many years are there in one term of a Senator?
* How many years are there in one term of a Congressman?
