Fox news has another poll up for tonight - [MOD-read it and DON'T vote for Ron

We do NOT want to vote for Ron in this poll. It does NOT ask who should win but who desperately NEEDS to win.... Media is saying Bachmann needs it with Perry coming in, and that Pawlenty needs it or his campaign is gone, etc. DON"T vote for Ron.

Ok people, let's vote for fuc..ng Bachmann. I respect people who have more experience, and whose merits are unquestionable. But, just for the sake of argument, I must say next - as we all agree here that Fox will try to spin results of the poll, probably for Bachmann, or for whoever else, but definitly against RP, let's analyse how can they do that. There are two possible outcomes:
If Bachmann is first it would be something like - Bachmann won our online poll about outcome of the Iowa Straw Poll! She is now beating Ron Poll even in online polls, which he won easily before! It doesn't sound good to me.
If RP is first it would be something like - Our online poll found that Ron Poll needs victory at Ames the most of all contenders. And? So what? Would that distract anyone who already decided to go to Ames to vote for RP? This Fox's poll is aimed to influence potential straw goers BEFORE straw poll, not after it. So, I would rather hear BEFORE Ames Straw Poll that RP needs victory at Ames most of all contenders, then that Michelle Bachmann now beats him even in online polls.

I don't think the poll is important enough to agonize over. I'd say just don't let Ron 'win' it, since that won't take spinning. They just won't use it if they don't want to. And it doesn't matter if the result would stop people for Ron from going to Ames, it matters that it enforces a meme they push all the time that Ron is somehow less credible a candidate than the others. So we do not want Ron to win this poll. I take it Bachmann is your candidate.

Bachmann 'winning' this poll is not a win. If they had a poll saying 'which do you think is the worst candidate ever' would you also argue Ron should 'win' that? We aren't idiots.

I guess that jon huntsman needs it the most. Considering he literally has nothing going for him

Eh, I voted for huntsman and I don't care about this poll at all. Let's just tune into the debate and see how Ron does. I think they'll be much nicer to him this time because he's been leading in polls and picking up endorsements left and right. If Fox disrespects Ron, they disrespect their own future viewers, and they know it.

I honestly think the best outcome would be to have it be a close poll, with Ron and other big names all together. That way they cannot write off Ron without writing off the other big names, and they also can't give too much oomph to any other candidate without acknowledging Ron Paul. I think a great outcome would be:

Paul 20%
Bachman 19%
Romney 19%
Santorum 10%
Pawlenty 9%
Cain 5%

etc.

leaves them no direction to spin it.

They already wrote Ron Paul off in the video at the link?

The guy didn't even mention Ron Paul, he said there's "all those other guys" below Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and get this Tim Pawlenty.
