Fox News' Chris Wallace aims to give Paul and Conway "A Fair Shake" in their debate

Ron's responses to those were classic, though. They even felt the need to edit the second before they rebroadcast the debate, he sounded so good....

I am sick of politicians who coddle Israel. It is utterly ridiculous to be in an "unbreakable bond" with any foreign country. Any politician who supports such positions is part of the problem.

And don't accuse me of demanding purity, because I am not. I am just sick of politicians who are in lockstep with AIPAC and its talking points.

I agree with the highlighted point.

However, I rather see my senator supporting Israel over Egypt or some other Middle Eastern nation, but our elected leaders fund every side of the conflict, so I don't have a choice.

Jack Conway will be no different, we do know that!

^My first thought.

^My second thought.

That was Carl Cameron, actually. The electability question, that is.

Either way, it's been annoying to watch Rand pander to Fox News. I don't care if he has to do it to shore up Republican support. It's still annoying.

But none of these other countries or sides of the conflict are coddled as much as Israel. None of these other countries are in a "special relationship" with the US, our politicians don't necessarily sell their souls to give the most extravagant praise possible to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, or Jordan, and these Arab counties are not occupying millions of people of a different race, leaving them in grueling poverty.

Of course, these Arab countries are not great, and some of them have horrible records with human rights, but they are not in the center of a conflict of such religious and global significance. I oppose all foreign aid.

I knew it. This was Benton's baby:

AP 9-10-10 said:
Paul campaign manager Jesse Benton said he is trying to arrange a nationally televised debate Oct. 3 on “Fox News” with Chris Wallace and additional in-state debates in Bowling Green and Louisville.

Conway spokesman John Collins said his campaign will agree to the Fox News debate only if Paul will agree to face off on NBC’s “Meet The Press.”

Clearly, if Rand's campaign manager was actively seeking out Chris Wallace, there must be some specific reason.

No, Chris Wallace was part of the Fox news package I believe, at least we don't know he wasn't. Rand challenged Conway to six debates including Fox way back in July. The question in the article you quote was whether Conway was going to be able to force his own venues once he finally decided to respond to the challenge.

I don't want him to lose R support for coming across as a pacifist or "weak on terror".

What, and the R's will vote for a D? Not gonna happen today.

D's are as popular as Neocons right now. Rand ought to stay away from both, no matter how Wallace bullys him into either slot.

The "political cartoon image" that came to mind was Wallace shaking Conway's hand while holding Rand by the throat and shaking him and saying "I promise to give you both a fair shake".

Wish I could draw. :(

PM awake that idea. I think it's great, as well as his talent.
