1.) Copy and paste the letters below. Fill in your own personal information at the end of the two letters under 'Sincerely'.

2.) Send the 2nd letter (underneath the second dotted line below) to Bestbuy using the addresses provided.

3.) Send the top letter along with the bottom letter to Fox at the addresses provided and Cc: to the major newspaper addresses provided.

4.) Follow through and NEVER again buy your electronics items at Bestbuy as long as they advertise on FoxNews! Shop at Target, Walmart, Sears, Newegg.com, or wherever else. There are plenty of alternative choices. If inconvenience or slightly higher price is too much trouble to pay then I suppose this revolution means something different to you than many...

Use your own letter instead if you like. But send something and follow through! This is the way to fight the mainstream media bias. As a gang of consumers who refuse to validate the advertising dollars heaped upon the biased network(s) subverting democracy...

Subject: Fox advertisers boycott is real: my letter

Dear Editor,

I just sent the following letter to Bestbuy and will be following up with additional letters to P&G and other companies who advertise on Fox. If the American people, and particularly the citizens of New Hampshire, do not strongly protest Rupert Murdoch's transparent attempt to subvert our democracy by denying Ron Paul a voice at the upcoming FoxNews/NH GOP Roundtable event at St. Anselm's then what has become of our country? Paul has well earned the right to have his positions heard (and with equal time, in my view), as have the people of America and NH earned the right to hear those views so they can decide for themselves who should be the next President.

The irony of the FoxNews network slogan 'We report, you decide' is not lost on this ex-FoxNews viewer...

Sincerely,

Subject: Long time consumer will never again purchase

Dear Sirs,

This message is sent with the utmost sincerity.

Please be aware that I will never again be purchasing any products from BestBuy retail stores or Bestbuy.com , despite having been a consumer of yours for many years, if your company continues to advertise with Fox affiliated networks or television stations.

I have spent many thousands of dollars at Bestbuy over the past couple of years, including purchases of large screen televisions, stereo systems, computers, game consoles, DVDs, phones, and other items. Best buy has historically been amongst the first companies I consider purchasing from subsequent to arriving at the decision to purchase a consumer item from the above categories.

The fact that FoxNews is holding a Republican Presidential candidates forum in New Hampshire (where I reside), but is excluding candidate Ron Paul (who has collected the most money of any GOP candidate in the 4th quarter from the most number of individual contributors and collected 10% of the Iowa caucus vote) is a direct testament to the fact that Fox (and its parent company NWS) is attempting to undermine democracy in the United States.

Unfortunately, the only way for an average American to protest this media behemoth silencing an immensely popular candidate (based upon all reasonable metrics) because they do not agree with his political positions is to boycott those companies who advertise on the Fox networks.

Please be assured that I am absolutely serious about this, and although I am only one consumer who buys for one American family I will indeed be forever discontinuing the purchase of all products from Bestbuy should advertising on Fox continue. There are plenty of alternative places to purchase the items that Bestbuy sells, irrespective of whether such purchases cost me a bit more money or turn out to be somewhat less convenient.

Please feel free to evaluate my historical purchases and to contact me if you require more information.

Sincerely,

Greetings,

I am a small business owner in a technical field and spend a minimum of $5000/year at BestBuy for my business and personal needs. I will from now on be sending my business to one of your many competitors.

The fact that FoxNews is holding a Republican Presidential candidates forum in New Hampshire, but is excluding candidate Ron Paul (who has collected the most money of any GOP candidate in the 4th quarter from the most number of individual contributors and collected 10% of the Iowa caucus vote) is a direct testament to the fact that Fox (and its parent company NWS) is attempting to undermine democracy in the United States.

Unfortunately, the only way for an average American to protest this decision is to boycott those companies who advertise on the Fox networks.

Please be assured that I am absolutely serious about this. I will also be informing my friends in the tech industry of my decision and encouraging them to do likewise.

Signed,
myname

Changed it up a little so they know its real people emailing them.

To Whom It May Concern,

Please be aware that I will no longer be purchasing any products from Best Buy retail stores or Bestbuy.com as long as Best Buy is advertising on Fox News or its affiliates.

Fox News is holding a Republican Presidential candidates forum in New Hampshire January 6, 2008 that will be televised nationally. Fox News has chosen to exclude presidential candidate Ron Paul. Fox News never announced criteria for inclusion and has refused to explain Congressman Paul’s exclusion. Considering Congressman Paul has raised more money than any other GOP presidential candidate in the 4th quarter (20 million dollars) and finished 5th in the Iowa caucus ahead of Rudy Giuliani, who is included in the Forum. I think it is clear that Fox News is trying to manipulate the political process by not allowing the American people the opportunity to hear the only GOP candidate that opposes the war in Iraq.

New Hampshire’s Republican Party which was co-sponsoring the event has pulled it’s sponsorship for failing to included Congressman Paul in the forum. I hope Best Buy will also take a stand against Fox News censorship by taking it's adverting dollars elsewhere.

I have nothing personal against Best Buy but unfortunately, the only way for an average American to protest this media behemoth silencing an immensely popular candidate because they do not agree with his political positions is to boycott those companies who advertise on Fox.

So Please be assured I will no longer be shopping at Best Buy as long as Best Buy continues to advertise on Fox News and its affiliates.

Sincerely,

xxxxx

Well I have a rewards card. And just bought a LG Fridge, plus a LG front loading washer+dryer. So hopefully they can tell that this isn't just ONE person spamming a whole lot.

There are actually people, with real purchases, that are serious about this.

Sent both, and won't buy from BestBuy until they drop FOX. BTW let me know when they do drop FOX, cause I DO like BestBuy.

Done. I also changed the text a little bit. I also added the Philadelphia Inquirer ([email protected]) to the list.

Dear Editor,

I just sent the below letter to Best Buy and will be following up with additional letters to P&G and other companies who advertise on Fox. Myself and thousands of others feel that Fox News is attempting to undermine our democracy by denying Ron Paul a voice at the upcoming FoxNews/NH GOP Roundtable event at St. Anselm's, and feel that one way to stand up for democracy against a media giant like Fox is to boycott those companies that advertise on the Fox networks.

Dear Sirs,

Best Buy has always been the first company I go to when purchasing electronics. I have been a loyal customer for many years, and have spent thousands of dollars at your stores. I will never again be purchasing any products from BestBuy retail stores or Bestbuy.com, if your company continues to advertise with Fox affiliated networks or television stations.

Fox News is holding a Republican Presidential candidates forum in New Hampshire, but is excluding candidate Ron Paul. This is a direct testament to the fact that Fox, and its parent company NWS, are attempting to undermine democracy in the United States.

Ron Paul recently finished with a very respectable 10% of the vote in the Iowa caucuses, ahead of Rudy Giuliani and just 3% behind John McCain and Fred Thompson - all of which are included in the forum. Ron Paul is currently polling far ahead of Fred Thompson, and in a statistical tie with Giuliani and Huckabee in New Hampshire. Clearly, he is a viable candidate that deserves to be heard.

Unfortunately, the only way for an average American to protest this attack on democracy is to boycott those companies who advertise on the Fox networks. I assure you that Best Buy is not alone in the companies myself and thousands of others will no longer be doing business with.

Please be assured that I am absolutely serious about this. Furthermore, I will be encouraging all friends and family to participate in the boycott.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Boycotting Bestbuy is great and all, but singling them out is dumb. Where are all the other companies that we're boycotting?
