Logged in Tuesday for the first time since 2008. Doubt I'm the only one. The 2008 run left me jaded about politics so I've kept my interest in RP and politics in general at arms length. Ready to get back on the wagon.

Win Iowa.

I'm in the same boat you are. I personally got tired of it 2010 when all the Rand Paul vs. Ron Paul b.s. started. Threads filled with people saying Rand seemed more "reasonable". And they were saying it on a site called RONPAULFORUMS.COM! Go figure.

Michelle Bachman just mentioned his name a hundred times on CNN in panic. People are going to be checking us out today.

I saw that too. She kept saying "The Ron Paul Campaign" over and over.......nice little tactic she has there........lying and then spamming an interview with Paul's campaign over and over.

i'm in the same boat with bobmurph. hook and tuco.sargent. was active here in the '08 days. voted for him in '88 too. (yes i'm old and like pink floyd) after '08 became a bit bitter. i think it was mainly the 'newsletters' thing that made me mad enough to come back to the forums. anyway its nice to be back. hope to get to meet some of you at the inauguration.:D

I still got a screenshot about one of the busiest times during the 2008 campaign.

I was still using Internet Explorer, ewww :P

I noticed this as well but I keep a close eye on the number of new members and it has not gone up a significant amount to account for the rise in activity, therefor my conclusion is that the inactive Ron Paul supporters are fired up and ready to win our country back!

I lurked on forums the entire last election (well, from the big money bombs on), maxed out, and didn't join until 2010 when I thought Ron might run again. Some just don't want to give their email address.

There is a lot of media watching as well, though, given Ron's higher profile this time around. Also, the curious, which is great.

+rep !

I've been lurking off and on the past couple weeks (checking in more often as the IA caucus gets closer). Seeing this thread I decided to actually log in for the first time since 2008 and post.

Like several others, I was really pumped in 07-08, donating tons of time & money to RP's campaign, but totally disgusted by the way everything from the primaries, to the main election to local politics in my home county all turned out. I came away very cynical and intent on never bothering with politics again.

But seeing Dr. Paul polling first place in Iowa has been slowly drawing me back in. I'm actually having twinges of optimism again...

I'm not running from my public statements.

is it just me, or does it seem like the average, middle-of-the-day numbers for people browsing grassroots central has gone up considerably over the last week? i'm used to seeing 250-350 people, now seeing 450-650 at any given time.

could it be the attacks bringing people to learn more? i hope so!
Wolf Blitzer is browsing the forum with his boxers around his ankles trying to find Ron Paul talking about any minority.
