Former teen beauty queens: Donald Trump barged in on us changing

Do you have separate bathrooms in your house?

I think this missing the point. It's not the sharing so much as it is the government forcing private businesses to provide something and possibly forcing the business to pay for new construction or configuration of the bathroom.

Literally no one is complaining about that. Its the cost of changing the signs on the doors, or just taking them off.

Its the idea that for some reason the sight of a commode turns men into uncontrollable rapists, when they are otherwise polite and capable of mixing with the other gender elsewhere.

Government mandated anything is always a mess!

Let businesses make their own decisions.

This seems like it should be easy enough for someone with a 2007 join date to understand.

The government is making it illegal for businesses to allow genders to mix. In North Carolina you have to use the bathroom that matches your birth certificate / passport even if the business don't care.

I'm pretty sure that businesses can have non-gendered bathrooms if they want.

You are wrong. The North Carolina law deals with two things. The first part discusses bathrooms in schools and public agency buildings. The other part effectively reverses local ordinances that forbid "discrimination" against transgender people when it comes to bathrooms in certain businesses. In other words, the state law is actually protecting businesses' rights in that area. The big businesses that are complaining about the law are not being libertarian here at all.

I can only assume you're not a small business owner and or don't talk to many of them about this issue.
Most every new regulation which I must comply with is money or time that I lose thanks to government force
