I agree. But I was thinking more along the lines of a nonviolent, silent puppetshow starring

Got letter from McCain campiagn manager! OMG!

To: Team McCainRe:Wrapping Up the Nomination
Last night, after our strong victories in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC, I put together an analysis of the state of the race for the Republican nomination. Including the delegates won last night, John McCain is now close to securing the number of delegates needed to be the presumptive Republican nominee. In addition, it is now mathematically impossible for Mike Huckabee to win enough delegates to secure the Republican nomination; there simply aren’t enough delegates left at stake for him to win. Take a look at the following chart:
Results based on AP reporting
Current Delegate Count
Remaining Delegates Needed for Nomination
Available
Delegates

% Needed to Win
McCain Delegate Count
839
352
774
35%
Huckabee Delegate Count
241
950
123%
Despite the mathematical certainty, the field is not clear on our side and we must continue to wage an aggressive fight in the upcoming states, including Wisconsin, Washington, Ohio, Texas, Vermont and Rhode Island. The sooner we wrap up this nomination fight, the sooner we can unify our party and begin to face the challenge of defeating the democrats in the fall. But we need your help to wage aggressive campaigns in these next primary states - will you make a contribution of $100, $200, $500 or whatever you can afford to help us wrap up the Republican nomination and head in the fight against the Obama and Clinton money machines?
Until John McCain secures 1,191 delegates, we must campaign aggressively for the Republican nomination, and that requires additional resources in some of the most populous states in the country. We cannot turn our attention to the Democrats and their enormous war chests until this nomination is secure, and we cannot accomplish that goal without your additional help.
Thank you for being part of Team McCain, for being with the campaign through thick and thin. We’ve won some exciting contests over the last two months, but the challenge is not over – we must continue to spread John McCain’s conservative message of lowering taxes, strengthening our economy, winning the war in Iraq, and fighting radical Islamic extremists. There is a lot of work ahead, but as John McCain has noted, there has never been an election where the choices between the two parties will be so stark. Please help us right now with your most generous contribution.
Sincerely,

Bump. More fun, and possibly more productive, than many of the threads on the front page.

At least this one is fun, and isn't a spitting match between who's in charge, what date we're gonna make Ron Paul pick, etc etc

This sounds fan-diddly-tastic! I'm there! Sign me up for the Rice Krispie Treat Brigade!!!

well i think maybe i can vote myself in charge because i like to lead the line:D

i was thinking we could also pass out ron paul coloring books....nothing speaks freedom like coloring books...i do worry about people accidentally choking on the crayons:(

man this is soooo difficult...have we picked a date yet?? how bout christmas?! everyone loves christmas!! its the best holiday of the year!!;)

Christmas sounds great. How about advertising for Christmas 2007, since we already know that was safe. I would hate to have it on a date that we don't know the events of. It could rain or we could have a terrorist attack or something that day.

Yea...the future is too scary.

well to give u some comfort....i think its ok that we trust the media to tell us whether it will rain or snow on our picnic...........and im not worried about terrorist attacks!!! are u kidding me?!?! we have the patriot act!!! WE ARE PROTECTED!!! thank u bush for thinking of our safety....

Maybe we can invite those two wonderful guys Mr Luntz and Mr Hannity to come to our picnic and sing Kumbaya with us? :D

I thought i'd be o.k with the flat bread and water but is'nt that disrepectful to those allergic to wheat so i propose just water,

Another thing is really bothering me about this picnic-march-amajig, have any of you considered the dangers of a lot of ppl gathering in one place at the same time as it sounds like a recipe for people going around possibly poking fun at one another and really causing someone to get needlessly disgruntled by the goings on............its pretty worrying

oh man im so upset....this picnic seems to be posing alot of concerns for everyone....we need extra time to prepare for this.....who knew planning a picnic for freedom would be so difficult? i propose apple picking.....would anyone be interested in a costume contest??

and why has this thread gone down in stars?? this should be at 5 stars!!

Hey, this place has smartasses and some are amongst the senior ranks! Who else will expose themselves with the rest of the self serving smartasses who can’t maintain respectable composure when faced with a conflict of interest?

If these members are so witty and smart then why don’t they realize that by putting down others it is only lifting up themselves in their own minds at the expense of dragging the mission down with themselves?

Who will be the next smartass for our candidate? Who knows, you might be the one who actually causes someone to stop supporting the group! We can afford it, can’t we? The group is big enough, isn’t it? Ah heck, win a few, lose a few.

If they are so smart, then why don’t they Vent their smartness in the appropriate place? I know there is moderator around here someplace who could show them the appropriate place. This board is for planning the march not expressing silly notions. I didn’t make that up, Admin told me.

1. We launched no personal attack on anyone. We weren't putting anyone down.
2. We were just having fun, letting off some steam.
3. Our fun was pretty over, and the thread was sinking fast. You just made it first on the list again. If you didn't like it, there is a report button on the thread. You could have done this and not made it first page again.
4. At least we kept this to one thread, that we started as satire and did not hijack, unlike many in this forum who are all over the place.

Other than that, welcome to the forums, glad to see a new face around.
