Some people may not think they can get to the march due to economic reasons. I am here to offer you a solution!

GREYHOUND!

It takes longer than a flight, yes, but the very fact that you're in this forum means that you're willing to make sacrifices to support Ron Paul, I mean, why else would you be reading if not because you're considering going?

I've ridden greyhound before, it's not all that bad. The seats are bigger and more spacious than those on an airplane, and it can be quite a lot cheaper.

If you'd rather not greyhound it both ways you can bus out and fly back and still save a lot of money doing so.

A one-way, non-discounted, adult ticket from Logan, UT to D.C. will cost me $81, provided I purchase it at least 14 days in advance. I can easily scrape that together in the coming months.

Look forward to seeing you guys IN D.C.!!!

Ask among people you know if you have any relatives or friends you have lost touch with who live near D.C. Chances are, you do. D.C. could easily be the city with the most workers recruited from all over the country.

yeah i'll second that. i've taken a bus to cali from tx and back, and a train from tx to chicago and back when i was in college.





the train was a far better ride.

Check with your local meetup group as I'll bet they 're planning to rent a charter bus. That's we're doing here in Des Moines.

At http://www.busrates.com/ they say the national average rate for trips priced by mile is $2.93/mi. With a $845 day rate.

I hear you, My first greyhound experience was quite the adventure. I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not so I bought a plane ticket home ahead of time. Turns out I liked it. It takes loonger but the scenery was fantastic and I'm used to going transatlantic so it really wasn't all that long.

I would do amtrak but there's no station nearby so I'd have to greyhound it anyway to somewhere that had a station and then go from there. And for $81 one-way, that's a price that really can't be beat.

I do have cousins living near D.C. so accomodation shouldn't be a problem. Maybe I can talk them into joining the rally.
