For the Love of God, Stop Saying Trump Was an Antiwar President

ISUS was a creation of the US.

In Obamas last year, he dropped 30,000 bombs, 26,000 of which were on Syria and Iraq.

America dropped 26,171 bombs in 2016. What a bloody end to Obama's reign.

In Trump's first year, he dropped 44,000 bombs, 39,577 of which were on Syria and Iraq.

Trump’s Military Drops a Bomb Every 12 Minutes, and No One Is Talking About It.

Were Obama and Trump's bombings meant for ISUS?

No.

Especially not in the case of Syria.

Their goal was to destroy Syria, get rid of Assad, steal Syria's oil and secure more land for Israel.

US occupying forces steal more than 80 per cent of Syria's oil, ministry says.

Secret US unit nicknamed Talon Anvil ‘bombed civilians at will’.

Did you just read the first sentence of my post and respond?

Obama's bombing in Syria was to get rid of Assad. Obama funded ISIS. Trump's bombing in Syria was, at least largely, to get rid of ISIS, which he accomplished..

Yeah....but then you skipped over the end of the story, which is that the whole time, pre Trump, during Trump and post Trump, America keeps stealing Syria's oil. Freaking 80% of it! And pre-Trump, during Trump and post Trump the theft was done through the Kurds. How easy would it have been for Trump to say "You know what? We're not just going to destroy ISIS. We're going to let Syria keep it's own oil!" That's what unknown is pointing out, and I suppose PAF is pointing that out as well.

The Jacobin? My favorite source for Marxist propaganda.

That would about sum up most of what's on teevee lol

Well, Caitlin Johnstone referenced it (in her article on lewrockwell.com). Though not certain, I'm pretty sure she checked out the embedded links. Maybe you should have a chat with her and Lew instead of me? lol

Trump wanted to get rid of Assad, steal Syrias oil and secure more land for Israel.

ISUS was the US controlled opposition excuse.

'We're keeping the oil' in Syria, Trump says, but it's considered a war crime.

After President Donald Trump said on Monday the U.S. will be "keeping the oil" in northeastern Syria, his administration is looking into the "specifics," according to a senior State Department official -- but it's prompted renewed cries that doing so is a war crime.

Trump has a long history of calling for the U.S. to "take the oil" in the Middle East, in Iraq and Syria in particular. But any oil in both countries belongs to their governments, and according to U.S. law and treaties it has ratified, seizing it would be pillaging, a technical term for theft during wartime that is illegal under U.S. and international law.

Trump wanted to get rid of Assad, steal Syrias oil and secure more land for Israel.

Then why didn't he? Because his neocon generals were too dovish and wouldn't let him? Do you really still believe the neocons?

This is ridiculous. jmdrake gets called out and falsely accused of saying that Trump is an antiwar president and then gets instantly attacked by someone who actually thinks that Trump is.

Someone is amusing himself stirring the pot.

There was a cartoon several years back which seems to have been flushed down the memory hole. A soldier sets up a life size picture of an ISIS terrorist in front of a Syrian city, shoots the hell out of the paper dummy, and leaves all the destruction he wreaked to everything and everyone "caught in the crossfire".

In other words, Obama "hunted down" ISIS too. So what made it different when Trump did it? How can you be so damned sure?

Trump ended wars and brought troops home.
He didn't have a perfect pacifist record but he reduced our war footprint and tried to do even more.

Making the impossible perfect the enemy of the good is a time honored tactic of Judas Goats.

That wasn't going to happen anyway. Iran is no pushover, and there was too much chance of Russia joining in.

That was discussed here at the time.

Who decided that? Surely the advisors who worked against Trump (the same eternal bureaucrats now egging on Biden to commit more resources to Ukraine, or hell, just pulling the strings themselves since Biden is a vegetable) wouldn't have urged him to call it off. I think the decision was made by Trump himself, and he made enemies for it.

Didn't you know? the MIC never starts any losing wars.:sarcasm:

Yes, yes, we know how you're going to dismiss RFKJr. Nobody expected anything else.

He may be good, even a damned sight better than your boy on that damned death jab. But he wore a blue D, so you will forever be the enemy of his good.
