is this a trick question?
left foot- high hat
right foot- bass drum
left hand- fret board
right hand- picking
mouth- vocals

it requires a lot of practice. definitely not easy to do- but it can help develop your brain.

Is sundance part of the Independent Channel?

The Sundance Film Festival and the Sundance Cable Channel are two different things, though there may be a relationship between the two on the backend (sharing resources, etc.).

The Film Festival is just that - screenings of a group of films selected ("official selection...") by a group of judges from among thousands of entries. The official selections are in competition for prizes as well -- think "Winner -- Audience Award - Sundance Film Festival". Typically awards are given in each film category -- FOR LIBERTY would be in the Documentary Feature Films category.

The Sundance Channel and the Independent Film Channel are each cable tv networks that emphasize the showing of independent films.

AdamT -- it's really awesome that you were able to get an exception time extension to allow you to submit FOR LIBERTY to Sundance. That rarely happens.

watched "for liberty" a week or so ago, it was great!

However, I think I got waaaay more out of it than the people I was watching it with who were not really paying attention during the election.

I feel we are in desperate need of a Ron Paul/Liberty movement documentary that focus' on the issues

I didn't want to hijack this thread or any other "for liberty" thread so I posted my thoughts here

Please toss in your 2 cents!

I've personally seen non-choir people respond in ways we exactly intended, and have had their eyes opened. No one was bored as far as we could tell, they were drawn into the story and had their eyes opened. They left with their brains reeling and will remember what they learned. They will be on our side next time.

I'm sure results will vary with the audience demographic, no way around it. It's the nature of the medium.

That's very cool. I wondered how it would be from the outside looking in.

I have a few questions.

Is Brad Smith "Bradley in DC" from this site? Second, is Elijah Woods missing in action? Did he leave RPF after the blimp fiasco. Lastly, when are you going to get more of the 50/100 activist packs in? I know that you have a lot of footage on hand. Are you going to make anything else in the future?

I received For Liberty last week. I was going to wait until we found a decent TV before we watched it. However, I couldn’t wait so my wife and I used our computer and watched it on Friday. (Since that time I’ve watched it a total of three times and she’s seen it twice.)

We both loved the movie. Thanks for taking the time to put this movie together. It reminded me of the good ole days in late 07’ and early 08’. All the people in the movie come from so many different backgrounds and so many different walks of life, but I could identify with each and every one one of them. Larry was right when he said that participating in Ron’s campaign was infectious and addicting. I was right there with Dan/RP Graphs and DJ Loti—I spent 30-40 hours a week trying to get Paul elected (as a matter of fact, I neglected school and lost my 4.0). Like Mary, I logged onto the Paul sites multiple times a day (far more than 3 or 4 though). Of course most of us participated in hanging signs, so hearing Tom Woods, Hancock and Kokesh talk about it got me all riled up again (brought back the body high/nervous feeling I had when plastering hundreds of signs in my town at 3 am). And although I didn’t get drunk like Deb, I was devastated that Paul didn’t do as well as some of us had hoped (New Hampshire was the most devastating loss for me).

A lot of people devoted countless hours to Paul’s campaign, and there are so many great stories that were left out. Each of us could say, “I wish this was in there, or that was in there,” but given the length of the film you did an amazing job at covering many aspects of the grassroots campaign. Something that one of the Walk for Freedom kids said really struck a nerve with me. He was talking about how it’s all about building the local community back up again. I really took that to heart and plan on focusing my energies in this direction. Since Paul’s campaign ended, I have been very active in spreading the message. However, all of my efforts have been at large public gatherings, town halls, passing out fliers and movies, etc. I have not focused on the one-on-one relationships that are so important. And when I think back to the campaign, it was my friends and family who I had the most success in converting to liberty. So while I’ll still keep attending town halls and large gatherings of people, I am going to make a great effort at talking to those people around me about liberty (church members, coworkers, etc).

The movie was awesome. It has totally re energized me and given me more motivation. I hope the liberty community rewards your hard work by purchasing it.

Brad Smith is a law professor and the ex-chair of the FEC. Bradley from DC is a forum member here and wrote the excellent HP review of the film. Elijah is a forum member here as well, not sure what happened to him. The 50/100 packs have been on order for a couple weeks now, should have them soon. No plans on a new R3V film as of yet, however we're kicking around ideas about something on the financial mess, ie to counter Moore's new film. The idea of an "adaptation" of Tom Woods' Meltdown has been talked about.

Thank you for that.
