Focus on the Family Includes Dr. Paul

I thought their video was rather on the negative side. Too much emphasis on FotF's pet issues that Ron wouldn't support on the federal level because he doesn't see them as federal issues. Their reasoning seemed like this to me: (for example)
"Ron Paul doesn't support a federal 'defense-of-marriage' law/amendment/whatever, so he must not have much regard for marriage."
They seemed to miss the key point about *why* he wouldn't support such a law -- because it's not the feds darn business.
Hopefully FotF's followers will be able to see past such disingenuous rhetoric and will take an honest look for themselves.

Yeah, having Federal mandates of their platform is divisive and creates problems for getting a polarizing agenda accepted. It legislates morals out of schools because a federal mandate makes the left wingers kick the fuss up every time its mentioned. If it was clear the Federal Gov couldn't get involved and states could take the causes and deem them acceptable in public then they would progress much faster on agendas.

I don't think they know what is good for them.

I can't believe people actually think like this. No true Christian believes that we need to legislate morality. What bullshit.

So what are we waiting for...isn't it our job to correct/educate them!!! ;)

We need to inform them that:
1) Paul supported the Defense of Marriage Act that allowed states to not recognize gay marriages from other states; and
2) Paul doesn't support lifting the ban on Embryonic Stem Cell research. He's against all federal research funding outside the purview of the constitution.

These people are Theocrats. They do not care about the Constitution. Anything they deem a pet project is worthy of federal intrusion in their eyes. But this is how MOST interest groups are.

definitely lets educate..the forms are based off reading limited info on the website

we badly need to inform them.

Ron is not for stem cell research unless its from a ectopic pregnancy.

This is no different than if a baby were dieing and the organs were set up for another child to live.

Other than that i dont know of any where ron is supportive of stem cell research...my lord..he is the creator of the sanctity of life act a federal law proclaiming life begins at conception..ie..once defined in law this was life must be constitutional protected by the supreme court since this is a defining of a term like person.

If defined outside of the norm like has been done on anchor babies ron corrects judicial activism.
