FMRI — Can the FBI see our thoughts?
It sounds impossible. How can the FBI read our minds, see our thoughts? I have no concrete proof. The only thing I can do is try to show that the technology is out there and show that it is possible that the FBI may be in possession of this technology. With the help of fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging), it may be possible for our minds to be read, for our thoughts to be seen.
FMRI being used to create text from the mind
The University of Texas Austin has created a system that can turn brain activity into text.
UT researchers have essentially created a device called a semantic decoder that can read a person’s mind by converting brain activity into a string of text.
The above is just text.
FMRI data being used to create images of thoughts
Two scientists in Japan recently combined fMRI data with advanced image-generating AI to translate study participants’ brain activity back into pictures that uncannily resembled the ones they viewed during the scans. The original and re-created images can be seen on the researchers’ website.
As can be seen from the above image, the recreation of the images from the fMRI data is not that bad.
FMRI data being used as a lie detector
Is it possible that the FBI is able to see our thoughts? Until some concrete evidence comes out, there is no way to prove it but I believe based on some of my experiences with the FBI that when combined with nanotechnology, they have found a way to use fMRI to do it.

A functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scanner uses a powerful magnetic field to detect brain activity. When an area of the brain becomes more active, such as when you wave your hand, there is an increase in blood flow to that region. -- source

In recent years, as the technology has improved, numerous experiments have been conducted in order to test whether fMRI can be a useful tool in the detection of deception. Some studies have already found an ability to detect deception using fMRI to be in the correct rate of 95–99%, and under specific, laboratory controlled conditions, fMRI was able to distinguish lies from the truth in individual subjects with 76% to 90% accuracy. -- source
