Nanotech + fMRI — Can the FBI see our thoughts? (part 2)
In my previous post, I presented how the technology is out there that would allow our thoughts to be read and seen. With the use of an fMRI machine, researchers were able to decode our brain activity to text and even recreate the images our brains see. The issue though is that it still requires the use of an fMRI machine which would rely on a person laying inside a machine. I will try to present here how the FBI may be able to recreate the same effect of an fMRI machine using nanotechnology.
Nanosensors work on the “Nano” scale. “Nano” is a unit of measurement around 10− 9 m. For reference, a single strand of hair is about 90,000 nanometers. At that size, millions of nanosensors can be deployed into the brain to replicate the same effect of blood traveling through the brain during an fMRI scan.
Being a federal agency, the FBI has first dibs on any technology patents and buy/take/use it under the guise of “national security”. Is it too far fetched to believe that they are in possession of this technology? From personal experience, I believe they are, but because of the size of nanotechnology, I am unable to prove it at the moment. If anyone reading this has any more information to add regarding this, please contact me.

Nanosensors can be used to detect chemical or mechanical information such as the presence of chemical species and nanoparticles or monitor physical parameters such as temperature on the nanoscale. — source
