Florida: Which do we prefer, Romney or McCain?

Romney - McCain will win Nat. if he wins FL. If Romeny wins it should split up Super Tuesday pretty well.

McCain. We really really need McCain and Hillary. My personal opinion is that the republican nomination is out of reach now. I know that's hearsay, and I'm donating $100 on the 1st, but still... A clean end to the process on Feb 5th with those two could set the stage for an Independent run.

I tend to agree with you, ronpaulyourmom. Romney is so blandly conservative that he'd probably pull it off with the average Joe Republicans. But McCain is hated by many.

I think McCain vs. Hillary vs. Ron Paul could possibly end up with a President Paul.

theres been alot of talk about the great doctor running third party....is that something he said he would do?? if so does that mean hed have to give up his seat as a republican congressman?

Hillary and Mccain... so I guess we've come full circle. In the beginning, it was assumed that those 2 would get in. A lot has happened since then. Mccain was written off in the summer, and actually dipped down below RP in intrade. Hillary was written off immediately following Iowa. Now magically, they both rise again suddenly, at the end. Go figure.

The problem is McCain v. Hilary could pull Bloomberg into the race. Those are two people who are hated by everyone who doesn't support them. Bloomberg will jump on that opportunity. The good thing about that may be it could split the vote even more. The problem though is that we'd never get into a debate. We'd also be up against $200 million general election spenders.

That is if mr money bags Romney doesn't make a independent run for president. He has the money. He just might try it.

Personaly i am still hoping Ron Paul wins Florida .. IT COULD happen.

Not saying these two WILL win, but these are the ones I'd like to see win (if RP doesn't get the Republican nomination, that is). Reason being they'd be the easiest to beat.

We need Rudy to win FL, between the two Romney is better. If McCain wins FL he will be anointed Republican God by the media. Everyone here wants to attack Rudy, but the Fights between McCain and Ron Paul, always has been.

We also need Hillary to win the Dem's, as much as I hate to say it. Hillary would crush McCain in the general giving Dr. Paul a good shot a 3rd party.

I don't think obama is underhanded enough to expose McCain,

What is this? Some kinda run of the mill MSM poll? Are we now excluding Dr. Paul too? ;)

my pick is Romney

McCain is the lesser evil. Better McCain than Romney, because Romney is all that is wrong with politicians. That, and according to every poll he'll lose to either Hillary or Obama. McCain ties/beats both.

Come on people! We've got undecided voters viewing this site! What would they think if they saw that his own die-hards were giving up? You obviously aren't completley giving up, but you are giving up on the republican nomination which is pitiful. Don't become trolls....

I used to think Romney was the greater threat because of his propensity towards actually getting delegates vs. caring about media coverage and poll numbers, but NH has shown that the average person is dumb enough to still think of McCain as some sort of maverick or independent so that makes him a larger threat than Romney. Having Romney around will also increase the talk on the economy, one of Ron Paul's strengths. So I'm hoping McCain doesn't win Florida.
