Florida Nurse Terrorized By US Marshals In 'WARRANTLESS' Raid

After leaving her operating room scrub nurse duties at Sarasota's Doctors Hospital on Wednesday, Louise Goldsberry went to her Hidden Lake Village apartment.

Her boyfriend came over, and after dinner — about 8 p.m. — Goldsberry went to her kitchen sink to wash some dishes.

That's when her boyfriend, Craig Dorris — a manager for a security alarm company — heard her scream and saw her drop to the floor.

Goldsberry, 59, said she had looked up from the sink to see a man “wearing a hunting vest.”

He was aiming a gun at her face, with a red light pinpointing her.

“I screamed and screamed,” she said.

But she also scrambled across the floor to her bedroom and grabbed her gun, a five-shot .38-caliber revolver. Goldsberry has a concealed weapons permit and says the gun has made her feel safer living alone. But she felt anything but safe when she heard a man yelling to open the door.

He was claiming to be a police officer, but the man she had seen looked to her more like an armed thug. Her boyfriend, Dorris, was calmer, and yelled back that he wanted to see some ID.

But the man just demanded they open the door. The actual words, the couple say, were, “We're the f------ police; open the f------ door.”

Dorris said he moved away from the door, afraid bullets were about to rip through.

“She sure shouldn’t be going to the press.”

Ohhhhh... She sure shouldn't be. If the story hit mainstream (which I doubt) I bet she'd be getting charged the next day.

Sickos.

“She sure shouldn’t be going to the press.”

Sounds like a little implied threat there -- who knows how many instances like this we don't hear about because the victims are intimidated into not going public with it. Like how the mafia in Italy might say "if you take this to the police, well, bad things could happen ..." , except here the police are the mafia.

The best part , the leader of the band of thugs said " “I have to go home at night.” The idiot can't see that he almost didn't go home that night, because of his own pig-headed stupidity.

Oh, even better -- "I didn't like having that gun pointed at me." :p

A sickening story, but hardly surprising.

On a brighter note, look at the comments at the Herald Tribune link. I've been seeing a lot of comments like those after news stories like this. More and more people are waking up to the fact that the US is a police state. Americans on the whole aren't the swiftest people, but even they start to see the obvious after being exposed to it long enough. They keep witnessing cases of egregious police misconduct, contempt for citizens, and sadistic brutality, yet they never hear about any pigs being held accountable (just the occasional lawsuit that only punishes the taxpayers).

The more oppressive the police state gets, the harder it will be for politicians and their attack dogs to maintain their legitimacy in the eyes of the public.

From the article:

Matt Wiggins was the man [ETA: cop/terrorist] at the door. He's with the U.S. Marshal's fugitive division.

I asked him what happened. He said they had a tip that a child-rape suspect was at the complex.

That suspect, Kyle Riley, was arrested several hours later in another part of Sarasota.

The tip was never about Goldsberry's apartment, specifically, Wiggins acknowledged. It was about the complex.

But when the people in Goldsberry's apartment didn't open up, that told Wiggins he had probably found the right door. No one at other units had reacted that way, he said. (emphasis added)

Maybe none of them had a gun pointed at them through the kitchen window, I suggested. But Wiggins didn't think that was much excuse for the woman's behavior. He said he acted with restraint and didn't like having that gun aimed at him.

.....Goldsberry wasn't arrested or shot despite pointing a gun at a cop, so Wiggins said, “She sure shouldn't be going to the press.”

Well.

Beyond the fact that the Terrorist with a Badge is eligible for Hypocrite of the Year....

What really stands out to me is the fact that -They- seem to have almost all the population trained. If the article is to be believed, no on else in the complex protested, questioned, or bothered to demand to see some ID before throwing the doors wide open.

What's next? A demand to lick their boots clean out of gratitude before letting us out of the cuffs?:mad:

I don't think I ever posted this, but just over a year ago the same thing happened to me. Two SUVs showed up - I'd not seen the second and thought the first belonged to a friend. As I walked past the French doors I see a guy in a vest with a 12 ga moving all "tactical" toward the house. He was so close I could have shot him in the head with almost no aiming. He was within 10 feet, on the other side of these doors, and was not even aware of my presence. Imbecile.

At that point I had no idea what was going on and wondered whether this was one of the tweakers I'd heard about down the other side of the ridge on which we live. Long term use of meth can make people VERY crazy and I was afraid this was one of them having gotten it in their head that I was an enemy of some sort. I had my .40 on my hip and came VERY close to shooting him in the head - the head because it was clear he was wearing a vest. I did not have my glasses on and could not read the small print that said "US MARSHAL". Fucking idiots.

I opened the front door and lo and behold there is this HUGE guy with a pistol - he was about 6' 6". Behind him was another with an M16 and a sheriff's deputy with an M16. I asked what they wanted and the tall one said they needed to speak with me. Did not immediately ID selves as marshals bet soon thereafter did when I questioned them more. I stepped out, having decided they were not tweakers based only on a "hunch". The twitchy one with the 12ga sees my sidearm and proceeds to FREAK OUT. "Don't FUCKING move or I will FUCKING kill you" I remained perfectly calm. I could have ducked back in very easily and shot at least two of them without challenge, so I was not all that worried. They disarmed me, something to which I took some exception. They went through this thing about me being a wanted child molester. When it proved I was not the man they apologized and left. For about three weeks I had rifles in EVERY room of the house - the next visit I was not going to be polite and would have killed them all. The post traumatic stress formation set in rapidly and I was pretty loused up about it. The feeling of violation is absolutely tremendous.

This shit has got to be stopped yet nobody is willing to stop it.

I was lucky because I know the training officer at the local sheriff's department and he promised me this would not happen again. It helped a bit but I remained hyper-vigilant for weeks after. NOBODY holds authority to do this sort of thing to us and I do not give a shit what ANY law says.

We should be stopping this by any means necessary including hunting police and killing them if we must. They are criminals and terrorists as AMY put it and we are in no way obliged to tolerate this.

That we give our consent to THIS is fathomless shame upon ever stinking last one of us.
