FLORIDA!!! All Hope is NOT Lost...

Now what you need to do is form a group to campaign.

Well, I looked at Students for Ron Paul, and don't really see anything whatsoever about them on their FB page pertaining to starting one. Click "info" and it says "Nothing has been entered yet", or some other nonsense. Someone here in another thread said they were great, but if I got turned off the page for lack of info so quick, I'm not seeing the greatness.

PS, I will not get a FB acct, so if that's a deal breaker then so be it, I'll have to find another way. But the above group didn't seem to have any info anywhere on anything the last time I checked a week or so ago.

Hell yeah, I moved down here 6 months ago, on the east side (treasure coast)! Been talking and meeting RP peeps here and there. In my opinion the number one issue in this state is the ECONOMY. Everyone seems to bring this up all the time, and it's evident everywhere. The people earning a living down here, who are working, are fired up, the contractors, the business owners.... it's primed and ready for a brush fire of liberty in my opinion. It's been easier converting people down here than up there. My 2 cents.

have u tried meetup.com??

As has been said on here for months, FL is winner take all.

and florida lost half its delegates? so winner just lost most of them! This means if ron paul places top 3 he is just fine delegates or not for florida! Though top 2 or 1st would be good in florida a 3rd place finish is not bad for the overall picture!

that's awesome OP. It's important we push hard in both South Carolina and Florida, but I think a realistic goal is a strong second place.

I could see the following happen:

Iowa- 1st
NH- 2nd
South Carolina- 2nd/3rd
Florida- 2nd/3rd
Nevada- 1st
Maine- 1st

I think this scenario is likely and would give us a very strong chance at the nomination.

SC is KEY!, we have to take first there and in general 1st in 2 out of the first. Because of the MSM treatment of Paul 2 early wins has to give hope to all those who want to vote for him but think he is unelectable!

A win in N.H would make it look even better.
I have some vague hopes even about S.C.,after the Iowa,N.H. big bump.
..but I admit..I..like almost anybody here have an hard time seeing a possible win in Florida-social security and medicCare land and would be delighted by a 2nd/3rd with 18/20 % there.

People:
Ron Paul looks REALLY strong this year.
Believe in it.

I've been saying this for MONTHS now. About time the forum started to wake up and realize all hope is not lost in FL, let alone any state. We have 2 straw polls wins in the past week and a half. We have massive groups that are out spreading the word 7 days a week.

We have a great shot at placing high/winning... IF we all keep doing our part.

If you are located in the tampa bay area and have not contacted me yet... please send me a note so I can get you activated :D

Right, Ron Paul can still win in any state, including Obama's birth state, Kenya! ;)

Floridian here. Can't say I've made a game changer, but I have myself switched parties to vote Paul in the primaries, have persuaded my mother, and 2 friends to do the same.

I'm doing my best to spread the word to anyone I can. Waiting for paycheck to invest in more methods. Going to see if there's nothing I can do to get a group going at Valencia.

Also, has anyone considered bringing the post card things concerning the 2nd amendment to gun shops to see if the owners would want to leave a stack by the register?

Hope was never lost lol... .results in Iowa will parlay into numbers in other states.

1. high finishes in IA and NH result in flood of donations
2. numbers go up in SC & FL & NV
3. donations go to doing the exact same thing in SC and FL and NV

The plan is going perfectly.

talk of giving up Florida, is similar to the MSM saying Iowa votes/caucus results dont matter.
every vote is important in every state !!
keep working !

Even if chances may be small to be winner in Florida now in January, it is still important to get as much support as possible. Because we need the majority there November 6!

It is my humble opinion that the degree of support for Dr. Paul from seniors may be slightly underestimated. I would say the same for older women. We have been waiting for decades for the right candidate and in 2008 and this primary, many of us found him.

I think probably the lack of female support comes from the elitists, union members, possibly middle-aged women and people who simply do not think for themselves. That the forty-five to sixty age group of men and women are so much a product of the radical sixties era may have much to do with that.

But my point is that even though I was around during all that, it did not influence me on more than a superficial level because I was well-grounded and an independent thinker. The more people take the time to actually think and discuss the politics and government of the past half century, the more they are likely to break out of their old shells. I for one hope this happens more and more through the message of Dr. Paul speaking truth to power and truth to the people. If he succeeds, it will be because of his message as we know, and if people are really listening to his message, they should wake up.

We do not have to reach everyone, just that extra ten or fifteen percent of Dems, Reps, and Indies who can make the difference. After all, it is they who decide elections

In 2008 Florida was undecided and went with the flow when McCain was seen as the clear winner.

Well then maybe REVPAC can help there. They've designed some awesome ads already, I have no doubt they can come up with something special for WNC liberals. "Are you happy with Obama signing away your civil liberties? Are you happy Obama has ramped up the war in Afghanistan and started new wars? Wouldn't you rather know that your tax money was being spent at home?" and so on. Write to Tom Woods about this.

Many people in WNC are very concerned about natural health matters including food, I have several friends there that are very much into natural foods and medicines that is where Ron is very strong among liberals because he does work to protect our food and medical choices. Go to to all the health food stores and talk to to people about Ron helping the raw milk people.

That's right! I totally forgot. I know lots of people who live in that area. They were all voting for Kucinich in '08 and will probably welcome the chance to become Blue Republicans. Is there enough time left?
