Not a coincidence, this is probably one of Rand's tricks to gain favor just before Iowa.

Remember, Audit the Fed was hand picked by McConnell to skip the senate banking committee so it appears Rand pretty much had a choice of when he wanted this vote to take place. Love it or hate it, this wouldn't have been an option if it weren't for Rand's "good relationship" with Mitch. Can you imagine Ron having this type of positioning and leverage?

I hope this turns into a major dramatic event, the more coverage it gets the more people know and especially the grassroots, who need to turn out to vote.

Awesome!

But but but it was a mistake for him to be nice to mcconnell, right?

I feel like we libertarians should get crafty, like at the end of better call saul. Never be on the wrong side again. If we can use mcconnell, do it. Dont give him much, and take from him what we can to push liberty forward.

O.K. This is good. We know that it is coming up. We know it is important. The trick is to saturate social media with WHY it is important.

Should a thread be started in the Activism forum or the Economics forum?

What can we here do? How do we approach it and how do we do this within the next 2 weeks? Memes, etc. It doesn't really have to be Rand specific. It just has to target the Fed. Reserve. If awareness is raised, when the actual bill is brought up then Rand will get the publicity.

I honestly think Mitch would easily take Rand over Cruz or Trump. His endorsement at the time was more of a political 'thank you' but now he might actually be working to help Rand. The trick though is how to do it in such a way that Rand is not associated with McConnell, and this is one way.

What would be even more interesting would be if the stock market were to crash or if there is global financial armageddon before February. Then it becomes even easier to explain why this is necessary.

34 co-sponsors listed, up to 37 now
just last month two new GOP Senators Pat Roberts (R-KS) and Dan Sullivan (R-AK)

The Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2015 (H.R. 24) is a re-introduced bill in the U.S. House of Representatives
of the 114th United States Congress by Congressman Thomas Massie (KY-4)
.
It proposes a reformed audit
of the Federal Reserve System (the "Fed") within 12 months of enactment.

The Senate
version was introduced by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). (S. 264).

The original version of the bill, (H.R. 1207), was created by now retired Congressman Ron Paul in response to the 2008 financial crisis during the
111th United States Congress. The Senate version was introduced by Bernie Sanders (I-VT) S. 604).

Ron Paul was disappointed with the 111th Senate's version of the bill, stating it "guts the spirit of a truly meaningful audit of the most crucial transactions of the Fed".

That's looking increasingly probable.

Well the warning signs are certainly there, with the oil and junk bond market already crashing like they did before the 2008 crisis. I think we're in a big bubble but if so will it burst before or after the nomination process?

Excellent!

Yeah everyone all bent out of shape about stupid stuff like McConnell. They do realize we have to work with these people and everyone.

I am all for this.....but....to the average American voter is this a passionate topic for them? One that will get them to vote and vote for Rand. The good thing is it does not alienate anyone except people who will not vote for Rand..
