Love the new donation page with the ad embedded (https://secure.ronpaul2012.com/donate_trust.php) and asking people to share the page on Facebook. However, there's one major issue and that's the meta information being passed to Facebook. When I click share it's writing on people's walls:

RonPaul
Federal law requires all online contributors to confirm that the following statements are true and accurate. If you cannot confirm each statement, you are not eligible to contribute to Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Committee.

What's the point in sharing that? People aren't going to act with a title and description like that. Instead can we get it changed to something more like

Ron Paul Needs Your Help Spreading This Video
We need to let the Republican world know about the choice they are making in this election. Do they want strong, principled, unwavering leadership, or do they want a former cheerleader for Al Gore?

Wish there was a way to label this issue as URGENT!!! You are sending emails to the list and driving traffic to it, finish the job and make these corrections ASAP. Making this fix will create a massive increase in the CTR (click through ratio), equaling more traffic and thus more donations. I've said it once and I'll say it again, winning is in the details.

Emailed someone in the campaign. Hopefully, he can forward it to the proper person.

This kind of stuff is why we need a grassroots liaison.

This kind of stuff is why we need a New Media team that's thorough and covers all the bases. But that won't happen until they decide the internet is worth it.

We sit here over two weeks later doing another fundraising push and the donation page's meta tags are still all jacked up. What do we have to do to get these simple things fixed? People are sharing this page on Facebook, but no one on facebook knows what they page is because the title just says "RonPaul"...

When you share a URL on Facebook, you can usually double-click the title and description to change them.

Yeah, but how many people will do that? Most just click share and that's it.

An opengraph title and description has been added to this page. Consider this closed since Facebook sharing was the primary concern and it's now fixed. Is there a way to mark these things as closed?

Nice to see them fix it. I would REALLY like to see them fix the tags on the home page, and ad a list of his endorsements now.

Hm..... Has the campaign ever thought of offering a bug-tracker/project-mapping software like Mantis to the public? Post "bugs" like this, have the severity rated, and have a couple staffers monitor it, update the status, and forward the issue to the right person. Probably wouldn't be hard to get a couple grassroots basement-dwellers to moderate out the spam & repeats. It could be a GREAT way to engage the grassroots and fix problems like the OP's efficiently.
