Firsthand account of voter stupidity in Florida

I am glad you pointed that out. Some people even seem to forget recent history like the 60's. Also these "old people's" grandmothers or mothers fought for women's right to vote. Keep going back further......people didn't just start getting knowledge or decide to become activists when the internet was intented.
Read your history a little more closely, young person. There was life before you were born...
Ok - explain it to me. When did they protest?

Most older people didn't learn the truth cuz there was very little truth or opposition to the MSM news Until the internet came to be.

without the internet i never would have learned the truth. Also without the internet and the things ive learned on it regarding diet & nutrition I would be DEAD!

Right there with you.

Well, you could start with women's suffrage.....

National women’s suffrage, however, did not exist until 1920. During the beginning of the twentieth century, as women's suffrage gained in popularity, suffragists were subject to arrests and many were jailed. Finally, President Woodrow Wilson urged Congress to pass what became, when it was ratified in 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment

I think there is an ebb and flow with these things. Some generations benefit from things their parents or even their kids did. (like this silent generation of a 20 year span - I haven't looked into it) I am 40 so you could say the same about me technically as nothing "big" happened in my era. :) Although many of us grew up during the Nixon era so we don't "blindly trust the gov't and media"

The Silent Generation are those currently aged 66 to 83 years old. They are called the Silent Generation for a reason... they never really did anything!

The silents were not yet born when the women's sufferage movement happened. Go google suffrage, the labor movement, the populist movement, abolitionism, temperance (not all have had happy endings) and, while you're at it, The American Revolution.

This is offensive on many levels. They were the first generation that had to work harder than their parents did for the same standard of living--and they did.

The "greatest generation" enslaved us all with their ignorant endorsement of the New Deal and the easy access to borrowed money--money borrowed from the next generations.

The Baby Boomers (gross generalization here) did not want to work (productive work) and became the first entitlement generation. Oh, but they sure accomplished something didn't they? We are still reeling under the oppression of their "accomplishments".

In case you haven't noticed, Ron Paul is in the silent generation. At the conventions that I attended, it was the supporters from the silent generation that helped keep things civil, and were the rational voices of experience when so many of us did not know what the hell was going on.

How much have you accomplished by demeaning others? It is far better to shut up and work hard than to be an abrasive loudmouth and cause harm to our movement.

I haven't demeaned anyone. I simply made an observation. And please tell me why they are called the "Silent Generation"?

Absolutely correct.

So? These generational labels are generalizations (no pun intended) and obviously don't apply to every individual as a whole. Many of the things said about the "First Globals" which is my generation are inaccurate about me while others are not.
