First Votes Cast In NH - Results Inside

Secretly I'm rooting for Edwards to further destory Hillary's hopes of getting the democratic nod.

Hmm. Let me count these votes again. Yep! Ron Paul is in third place! :D

The tiny New Hampshire towns of Dixville Notch and Hart’s Location have a tradition of opening and closing their polls right at midnight. They can do this because of the small size of their town and a rule that says a town’s polls may be closed once every possible voter has cast a ballot.

After those first two towns have cast ballots…

John McCain - 10 votes (43%)
Mike Huckabee - 5 votes (22%)
Ron Paul - 4 votes (17%)
Mitt Romney - 3 votes (13%)
Rudy Giuliani - 1 vote (4%)

When do the statewide results start coming in? Where is the best place to track the results?

well not until Tonight. Polls open till 8pm I think.

That means all day long, Ron Paul is in third place.

:D

Choke on THAT FOX news.

You're kidding, right?

rofl

But I wouldn't put anything past them.

Ron Paul will be number three all day long!

I find it odd they announce results before all the polling places close. Will this be happening throughout the day?

Everyone in these two towns has voted, so they have closed their polls.

You'll have to wait until after 8 tomorrow night for the rest of the state.

Meanwhile, did I remember to say RON PAUL IS NUMBER 3.

1. John McCain: 10 - 43%
2. Mike Huckabee: 5 - 22%
3. Ron Paul: 4 - 17%
4. Mitt Romney: 3 - 13%
5. Rudy Giuliani: 1 - 4%

Slowly the cars began to move. Slowly they climbed the steep hill. As they climbed, each little steam engine began to sing:

"I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I-think-I-can! I think I can - I think I can - I think I can I think I can--"

And they did! Very soon they were over the hill and going down the other side.

Now they were on the plain again; and the little steam engine could pull her train herself. So she thanked the little engine who had come to help her, and said good-by.

And she went merrily on her way, singing:

"I-thought-I-could! I-thought-I-could! I-thought-I-could! I-thought-I-could! I thought i could - I thought I could - I thought I could - I thought I could - I thought I could - I thought I could I thought I could --"

:D

Can anyone explain the benefit of a 3rd instead of a 2nd or 1st. I can't believe we're polled/projected 3rd. Is NH that ignorant about the issues?

There is no benefit of 3rd over 1st or 2nd, but there are still plenty of benefits for placing 3rd.

The biggest point to be made is not to have high expectations. The campaign expected 3rd in Iowa, and look what happened.

This is a REAL vote, not a fake media poll.

The benefit is that the media has been marginalizing Ron Paul all throughout this campaign and all night tonight inspite of 200 Ron Paul supporters standing behind anderson cooper in Manchester and cars continually honking as they passed.

Now they are going to have to choke it out all day--their nemesis, Ron Paul, is number 3.

How do you like your crow cooked, FOX news?:D

One honest question: Are we expecting to win any state?

Expected to win? Hardly. We're not exactly backing the Golden boy of the neoconservative/liberal establishment here.

Oh no, there are no expectations to win. But win we will. And across the nation people will pause, the goose-bumps will rise, and half forgotten ideals of liberty, peace, and prosperity will well up from the bottom of their American souls.

Ok, maybe not. But, we gotta try.
