Car manufacturers don't have a law on their side that prevents them from being sued, nor do they have a taxpayer funded fund to pay out in the event of harm.
Neither do farmers.
Is science about questioning and hypothesis or not?
This is why the term "settled science" is bologna!
Yes, vaccine manufacturers are subsidized in the case of unexpected harm. That hasn't happened yet, so they haven't gotten these advantages. What has happened so far is that anti-vaccination claims have gained credence due to payouts in a "vaccine court" for things almost certainly unrelated to vaccines. My car manufacturer example was pointing out that the typical, already known risks should not have to be paid from the vaccine manufacturers unless if there is a contract for it.
Settled science isn't bologna. Do you think the science for the Earth not being flat isn't settled? Might DNA not be a double helix? We don't have to rehash these claims over and over, because they are settled.
