First Official "Name the March" Thread

Do you want a few thousand people there, or hundreds of thousands, with Dr. Ron Paul as the Speaker? The bigger the crowd, the more impact.

We should invite NORML, the GOA, Anti-war groups, ANYBODY who is ready to see this country return to the rule of law. Dr. Paul doesn't need to preach to the choir, we're all already sold!

Keep the titles coming... The naming and the framing will make
the difference between 5,000 and 100,000+

We want something that appeals to the mass... pro freedom,
pro liberty, a little anti-estab (maybe), standing tall, taking back,
now is the time, we unite...

I do NOT think that it should be a RP theme. I may catch some flak
for saying that's OK. It's time we take our strategy to the next level.

The one that I like most so far is:

Freedom March

Can't get more simple than that.

I'd make it 'Freedom March '08'

How about...

Stand and Unite

A title that everyone can understand and relate to is a MUST.

Save Our Country would fit that mold. I know it's not catchy, but no one would be confused as to why were marching to DC.

The image I'm getting is the idea of us taking back our country. Our government is obviously not interested in adressing our most important issues, so we have do rise up and make sure they do. How can we fit that concept into 3 or 4 words?

I disagree.

We're not marching to get Ron Paul elected or to get people to respect him. At least I won't be.

I'll be marching to let the morons at DC know that I won't sit by and pay them to not do their job, to break their oath of office, and to ignore the most important issues that may have ever faced our nation in exchange for getting re-elected. I'll be marching to let them know that there is a great number of angry, informed people out there that are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that their country doesn't go down the toilet due to the irresponsibility of politicians.

I'm sure we could find many more Americans that would be willing to march for the above than just march for some guy named Ron Paul.

I dont think it should be named after Ron , for 2 reasons:

1. Its the message, not the man

2. We would do well to more generalize the event to encourage those that dont outright support Ron , but are sick of the lack of respect being shown for the constitution, to join in. They may even be swayed towards Ron from the event .

I just hope the 911 truthers and Alex Jones dont co-opt the event. Am I being paranoid? or is it a valid concern? hmmmm..
