First medical school interview tomorrow!

Hey, good luck, man. It's always great to hear about somebody making something of themselves around here. Doc Kotin. Heh.

I will probably withhold the name for now just to maintain privacy but I am going to my first interview tomorrow and am pretty excited.. Wish me luck!

Its probably too late to start looking up interview tips online but my junior sister looked up tips online and it helped her ace her interviews. I would sleep early tonight and wake up rested and relaxed.

Wishing the best of luck. Be yourself unless your true self is an @sshole then in that case, be someone else 😭

Good luck! Be yourself and smile a lot! (I have a feeling your normally do!)

Get to bed early tonight.

Contrarian approach: Stay up all night, drink 2 full pots of coffee. Tell the interviewers that's what you have done, to demonstrate how you can function at a high level under conditions that replicate being in Residency.

Whatever route you choose, Best of Luck!

Be sur to tell them that thanks to the internet you know that vaccines are poison and you just want to help people.

Wife's a doctor and I manage our medical practice. Good luck in the interview and if you are going into medicine to help people (as I think most do) you should do fine. Expect to work harder than you ever have and study things that you will never use in practice but if you can make it though you are already a winner. (You know what they call the guy who graduates at the bottom of his class in medical school??? ---- "Doctor").

Financially expect to make a lot less than the historic norms. The goonerment and the insurance companies are constantly cutting reimbursement and increasing burden (time and paperwork) for every procedure. If you work for someone else you will be their slave and have to beg for time off and if you work for yourself (as we do) the compensation will shrink each year. Even so, it will always make more than blue collar or working at Wal-Mart. Keep this in mind as you take on debt for education. You don't want to be 100k in debt when you graduate as it will take a long time to erase that. We did it with very little debt due to using state university which had very reasonable tuition and we had old cars that I kept running. Don't get fancy and have new cars and expensive home. You are still a "student" try to live like one...
