First Guantanamo Video Released.

How many years have we been incarcerating in GITMO... and NOONE has gone to trial?

Hey IMMUNITY LAWS for ALL U.S. Government officials involved in ANY WAR crimes, directly or indirectly. If it's so LEGAL and JUSTIFIED, why does the U.S. GOVERNMENT and CORPORATIONS need IMMUNITY LAWS?

BINGO!

I believe this isn't a 'secret' recording at all.

Seems staged to make it look like they're treating him good.

They should just slam this whining maggot in prison for killing the soldier and wash their hands of him.

Canada = IS the 51st State, yeah, canadian excuses make a lot of sense..."Blame it on Canada?

Oh, We're Supposedly the EXAMPLE of FREEDOM, LIBERTY, & DEMOCRACY? Yeah RIGHT!

We're the 21st Century's example, of; Subversions, Conspiring Global Empire Building, Ultra-Totalitarianism-Kleptocracy, ELITIST/ZIONIST NWO, Feed the Wealthy, and of course, Global Terrorism - but by WHOM?

If you can't forgive a foolish child swept up in something much larger than himself, you've lost your humanity.

The way I see it is this kid has spent a THIRD of his entire life in prison, and not just any prison, but Guantanamo Bay, without being convicted of any crime. Something is not right about that.

I suggest we forgive all murder convictions stemming from gang violence.
Go for it. Of course, I'm sure the prisons have turned them into truly dangerous people by now. I think, however, that you're not understanding the word forgiveness. It is not a pardon. The vitriol directed at this young man for a crime committed when he was 15 is pure, self-righteous maliciousness.

As someone who has watched 40+ hours of murder investigation interrogations and read transcripts from at least that many hours. This is nothing really. We treat our own citizens in a similar manner.

Ive seen 17 year olds put in cold rooms with just shorts and a blanket, denied sleep, threatened, made crazy promises... Ive read transcripts were 14 year olds were threatened to be sent to supermax or death row. major violations of 4th, 5th, and 6th amendment rights.

I doubt that this is all they are up to at guantanamo, but if it is, they are no worse off than at many US city police departments.

Im not sure you would feel the same way if that 15 year old killed someone in your family.

I myself would not want him tortured. Punished if guilty, yeah. But torturing, no. Despite our actions, that's not what this country's supposed to be about.

I'm not sure either. I guess that's why they don't let grieving relatives assign punishments. They shouldn't either. Rage and vengeance do not lead to justice.

In time, I'd hope to I could forgive.

why are the words "torture" and "vengeance" even being tossed around here?

The interrogator was going out of his way to be nice, it seemed.

I think some of the people here didn't really watch the video, which was basically a clip of a crybaby wailing "you don't care about me" and a canadian dude saying "yes i do." Oh the humanity

This guy is lucky he was caught by Canada/USA, rather than an arab country that would show him what "torture" really means

You're right. Vengeance isn't even the right word. It's more like callous ignorance.

it seems like u were talking about me, but did the interrogator seem "callous" or "ignorant" to you?
That's probably better treatement than half the guys in American prisons get.
