I am building an ar15 rifle. I still am figuring out what I am going to do about the upper (buy one/build one which upper/parts to buy, etc), but I have finished the lower and it looks great! Here are some crappy cell phone pics! :D

What do ya'll think? Sweet eh?

As for the parts used:

*Spikes Tactical lower receiver
*RRA lpk with 2 stage match trigger and Hogue grip
*Brownells buffer spring
*generic a2 buffer tube
*DPMS buffer
*Magpul PRS stock

I do plan on upgrading to anti-walk pins but simply have not bothered to search for some on the internet yet. I'll probably order some next weekend after I get paid.

Now for an upper here is what I am wanting:

*18 or 20 inch barrel in 1:7 twist
*free float tube with rail up front bottom for bipod
*flip up front site/either incorporated into the gas block, or just a small gas block and I will add flip up iron sites.
*m4 feed ramps
*flat top upper receiver.
*Have not decided which brand BUIS I will go with but need one

I plan on having the upper done by mid summer and at the end of summer I will put an ACOG on for optics.

That is the plan anyways.

The only thing I will sugggest is in your twist rate,if you are going to shoot heavy(77gr.and up)bullets your choice will be fine,if not you might consider 1-8.The 1-9 woill work best for 45-75,but the 1-8 is best for 56-90 grain in general.IMHO

Keep two things in mind when your considering barrel twist.
1. The more twists, to a point, will be more accurate.
2. The more twists in the barrel the more heat will be produced by friction in turning the projectile.
