Fetterman introduces bipartisan ban on going cashless

You're the one using EVERY DAMNED THREAD to try to tell liberty-minded people not to vote. I'm just pointing out that many liberty-minded people disagree with you. And it doesn't make them "less" libertarian.

Well, you might be right according to you.

But I am right, and also according to me :D

Also, you don't like LOLbertarians anyway, so how would you know one way or the other?

.

I certainly do NOT support a cashless society but…

I’m confused here. Are we now supposed to support the fedgov dictating the terms of private contracts/transactions?

Freedom?
Yes, because the alternative is the globalists instituting the Mark of the Beast using their stolen economic hegemony.

We can consider ivory tower libertarian philosophy and possibly reverse this bill if and when the globalist cabal has been stripped of its stolen wealth and power.

I have been among those with the loudest voices opposing "the mark of the beast", more precisely digital tracking.

I don't like this "good intentions always lead to bad consequences". The FRN is paper money which lost its value anyway. States are beginning to accept gold and silver as legal tender, people stack, hopefully the private sector will follow.

There are alternatives to making yet another law that the government profits by while giving it more power over regulation and you.

Make gold and silver legal tender and do this law then.

Not passing this law makes an all digital economy inevitable as things are now.

Here's an even better idea. Tell Trump and Co. to stop worrying so much about Big Beautiful Power Plants which will Power those Big Beautiful Government Data Centers. And tell him to eliminate those Palantir/Other Contracts too, while you're at it.

Also, tell Trump to stop meddling in the affairs of what and how private sector businesses operate, such as tracking/monitoring/regulating who they hire.

This way new laws won't need to be passed, and it'll also save me a dime or two.

regulations are not the way! a business has a legit concern of theft and may want to mitigate cash payments - and who are we to tell them how to run their business!

I think cash is culturally important and it is one thing that really unifys us as a country.

"Freedom at the point of a gun" as Ayn Rand would say.

Well the Founders would say that you have to use guns to secure your liberty and rights.

The government is our guns.
If the government is using its guns to compel you to do something you wouldn't otherwise choose to do, then the government is not your guns. It's the people you need to use your guns against in order to secure your liberty and rights.

The government is using guns to compel people from not having slaves.

People would have slaves if we didnt have law enforcement.

The reality is we need law enforcement.

Nobody is forcing you not to own slaves.

Renounce your citizenship and move to a country that has slaves.
I don't accept the premise that being allowed to set the terms of what currency I choose to accept in exchange for something I sell is the same thing as owning slaves.

Maybe you pay the extra 10 cents a gallon when you buy gas for the CARD price.

Maybe you like paying a tax to the bank.

I like paying the CASH price and paying less money.

I dont like paying more for less.

Maybe you want banks selling your data to data brokerages and giving that data to the government every time you shop but I like to keep that information private.

Maybe you dont value your privacy but I do.

Privacy is a freedom that I enjoy and its the governments job to protect that freedom from tyrants that are trying to take it away.
