True, and also, Bernanke is the one that everyone perceives as being "responsible" for the outcomes, so it matters more when he plans to quit than when say a member of the board of governors does

It is curious the Bernank is leaving considering the stock market is up by such a humungous amount since March of 2009...you figure he would stick around like Alan Greenspan did...unless, the shit is about the hit the fan, that is...

Nominated by the President from among the sitting members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Banks (there are seven members of the Board) and then confirmed by the Senate.
