Here’s the Schedule For the CBS News Republican Debate

by Mediaite TV
February 13th, 2016

And then there were six.

The remaining field of GOP candidates eyeing for the Republican party nomination will square off tonight in South Carolina for a debate broadcast by CBS News. Face the Nation anchor and CBS News political director John Dickerson will be the main moderator for the event. Joining him will be CBS News White House correspondent Major Garrett and The Wall Street Journal‘s Kimberley Strassel.

The candidates who will be taking the stage are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson and John Kasich. Trump is coming off of a decisive victory in New Hampshire, and hopes that a softer-toned approach will win over the constituents in South Carolina as well. Meanwhile Florida Senator Marco Rubio will be debating for the first time since being outed last weekend for his repetitive phrases that seem to have dogged him to a lowly fifth place in New Hampshire this past Tuesday.

The debate will air live on CBS from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on Saturday, and network’s digital streaming service, CBSN, will offer extensive coverage before, during and after the debate.

I hope no one brings up Scalia's passing. It would be disrespectful given the already-politicized nature of the surrounding discussion. Maybe a moment of silence at the beginning, but nothing else.

Obama pre-empted programming at 8:45, and now a moment of silence (where Carson looked even more asleep than usual). Really this is lose-lose; make a light-hearted comment about anything, and you could be accused of not being somber enough.

First question is about Scalia.

Tonight Kasich will be playing the part of the sensible one...

Rubio will be playing the part of the Constitutionalist.

Carson wrote a book on the Constitution, and he says it doesn't address how a SCOTUS justice is created.

Tronalddump will be playing the part of the non-interventionist.

Carson goes back to correct his first statement about SCOTUS nominees.

Jeb is getting destroyed by the trump, almost exactly the same as the last debate.

The orangepink backdrop is about the same color as the trump's face.

I really liked Donald Trumps Foreign Policy answer. Being a member of the military, this is a pretty yuuge deal for me. He is absolutely not a Liberty Candidate; but I am starting to reluctantly line up behind him.
