That may be true....but that was after power was consolidated. During the subversion period, the Marxists always spread garbage in order to subvert a nation.....and old USSR had state sanctioned atheism.

Once in power, they may then clean things up somewhat. Certainly, in the west...every leftist political movement has always promoted cultural decay.

Fascism and socialism are essentially synonyms, with the former referring to a system with de jure property rights, but property rights de facto are nonexistant in either system.

It depends on how you look at it. Didn't Bush say that Jesus told him to go to war against Iraq? Even if there was communism in all African countries, there's not much wealth to spread around. Zimbabwe was a prosperous country with a free-market, but then the central bank started regulating the economy and caused hyperinflation. Now, millions of people in Zimbabwe are starving because of government interference.
