Q. Who is organizing this march?
A. www.revolutionmarch.com

Q. What is the theme of the March?
A. To spread Ron Paul's message of Peace, Prosperity, and Freedom. And to demonstrate that we expect our government officials to adhere to the Constitution.

Q. When is the date?
A. In order to secure a date, an application for a permit must be submitted to the D.C. parks and recreation division, permit department. The permits department received our application on February 18th. We submitted June 21st as our first choice but were advised to submit alternate dates. We have established a rapport with the dept.. They have indicated to us that they have over 900 applications for review. People have up to one year to secure a date and the summer months in D.C. are prime time for events. Trying to get a summer date a few months before an event takes longer to process because of the 'first come, first served' procedures. However, I was told that people who reserve a date, often times cancel. This tends to muddy up the waters a little bit, but it can be advantageous to late comers.

Q. Why do we even need a permit?
A. Good question! Freedom loving Americans like those in this movement understand that forcing us to get a permit violates the first amendment right to peaceably assemble. But try to view the permit as sort of like making reservations or buying a ticket to an event. If large groups of people just show up willy nilly, setting up their tents and stages, forgetting to rent porta pottys and trash cans, there would be mass chaos.

Q. What about all the other marches I'm hearing about?
A. There are several marches being planned by different groups. This is a very good thing because it accommodates everyone's schedules and budgets. And it sends the message to the local, state, and federal governments that our movement is massive, organized, and NOT going away!

Q. Where can we go to get up-to-date information?
A. In the next few days www.RevolutionMarch.com will be selecting a communications director. Once the decision has been made, the CD will be in charge of keeping the website updated with all the current news and information regarding the march. If you sign up, you will be notified via email on a regular basis of new information.

In addition, we will post the organizational chart which will show the various committees and sub-committees that are being formed out of the volunteers. In order to put on a massive march and rally in D.C., it is going to require 2-300 people handling promotion, march logistics, public relations, marketing, accounting, etc.

We are also posting a FAQs link on the site and we will do our best to answer any questions you have so please feel free to post your questions here and I will send them along. OR, you can send them directly to: [email protected]. PLEASE keep your questions, suggestions, etc. brief and to the point. Given the number of emails they get, to-the-point- emails are greatly appreciated. :)

Thank you.
Los of good info.
I am hoping to make the DC rally and possibly St.Paul.
I will be doing it low budget (no money) and old school style.
"King of the Road" is a 1965 song written and originally recorded by country singer Roger Miller. The lyrics tell of a man with a nomad or perpetual traveler lifestyle (possibly a struggling road musician, as the composer was himself) who, although he lives in a hand-to-mouth existence, also feels free, and describes himself with joking introspection as the "king of the road"
I hope to see and meet many of the folks here.

p.s. I'll pack extra beans and such, if someone has a pot and someone has a stove we will have dinner.

I have been researching the requirements. For a large group of people the march is going to need several thousand dollars in donations most likely. That shouldn't be a problem for Ron Paul supporters but they should know that.

How long before they review your permit request? Did they ask WHY you wanted it? If so get ready for several declined letters.

see, that's exactly what I was thinking...if they know WHY and WHAT...this might be why we're waiting so long....

I am all for a huge rally. I am trying to find out information. Thanks to all trying to plan something.

BUT: If you please...how do I know that the above website is the official "Go-to?" How do we know this is not troll disinformation? I thought RP HQ was going to set the date. Is RP participating in the planning? After all, he's the one who brought it up in his video address.

Thanks for any info.

Ron Paul's latest announcement regarding HQ handling the March was that he prefers the grassroots handle all marches. HQ is out of it now.

I am on the board for Revolution Management Foundation. You'll notice at the bottom of the website, that RMF is the organizer. Other board members include 2 members of the Northern Virginia Patriots, Ray Powell and Bryan Siemon, who also have a talk radio show on RonPaulRadio.

Hope this helps.

Here's another FAQ that should be addressed:

"What should we bring to the DC rally?"

(My answer:)
First and foremost deadly weapons, such as guns, are strictly forbidden in Washington DC. This is against our 2nd amendment and currently there is a court battle raging over this issue. But for now, bringing any kind of weapon (even a flagpole with a sharp tip) will land you in jail.

You should bring water. If you can carry a backpack without straining your back, try to carry enough water for you and another person. You may also want to consider bringing high-protein snacks, a first aid kid, cell phone, a list of emergency numbers, money. Make sure all your valuables are marked! Keep your valuables safe.

(There are a lot of other things I'm missing so feel free to edit/expand)

Good Question, Agent. Good answers too.

Some of those emergency numbers should be:
- Police Dept. of DC
- At least TWO event coordinators
- Your credit card's customer service (Or wherever you call to get your card canceled, just in case it's stolen. Be very careful with this one.)
- Hotel or park where you're staying.

Depending on how you go, you should also carry a list of DC car repair shops, DC taxi services, the train station, airport numbers.

will ron paul be there?

He will be invited the second we have a date. He has stated that he will accept all invitations to events such as this one. In addition, we intend to invite the co-sponsors to HCR40 http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:h.con.res.00040: This resolution is important because it addresses the impending North American Union. Ron Paul was one of the orginal 6 to co-sponsor it. We now have 46, and Congressman Goode told me he needed my help to get at least 100 co-sponsors. Inviting the co-sponsors will show unity with those in government who are against the NAU/SPP and it will bring awareness to the issue and to this resolution.

To my way of thinking, nothing is a bigger threat to our nation's sovereignty or our individual freedom than merging us economically and politically with two socialist countries. It is crucial that we all work to get our congressmen and women to co-sponsor this resolution.
