[false] Burning Man organizer plans 30 days of 'anarchy' next to Bundy ranch

That's what I thought as well. I thought Burning Man was about No Boundaries, unless of course you're a classical liberal.

We are all supposed to fiddle while Rome burns; and if we don't, then we are obviously the enemy...

Yet if they cleaned up all their *stuff afterward, I could care less of a damn if they held a burning man on public land wherever they very well pleased.

I don't want their tax money, the vile sniveling pigs. It's a one way feeling going on there. I say go party.

Why do some literally want to show their ass, to the mean old Clive Bundy here?
What does that have jack to do with the (originally?) very loosely organized Burning Man event?
It seems it only has the commonality of both involving the inclusion of a portion of dumb, aging, state sheep prog hippies. Oh and some nudists. I guess some of them are gay. They intentionally mentioned that part.

He doesn't pay his taxes, and from what I'm understanding, for some the response is, "hey I'm naked look at my junk. Does this make you uncomfortable? I thought it might, so I'm going to do it in front of you because emotionally I'm 12. Look at me, uh, I'm very, very homosexual. I'm going to get stoned off my gourd, and that'll show you huh. Didn't pay those taxes I wanted him to, ugh. I'm entitled to it so give it over, and therefore hah hah I'm gay. Yep, check it out.
Also I'm going to go throw my trash on your private land, and go kick an endangered species and screw with nature for kicks in general, to show all you people just how we'll totally ruin your less statism ideas. What with your cows and such. We'll show you."

Sheesh, what do you even respond with, to something like that?

If it is federal land then it shouldn't matter. They shouldn't have to pay permitting fees to anyone to use that land to gather in the first place. I just hope none of the people on the Bundy's side do anything stupid, but I'm probably going to be disappointed.

At first I thought they were going to hang out in support.

I suppose if this is anything more than a joke it could turn into a movement of support, if, people can just get their heads in gear.

I think they go beyond some friends camping when they make it a commercial venture. I would imagine the fee they pay for Burning Man depends on the amount of upkeep.

Oh, I didn't know a desert required upkeep.

You should see the amount of garbage that 50k people will produce.

Anyway, the post-BM Bundy Ranch event is guaranteed to be a massive fiasco if it ever happens. That's rough land and everything there bites or stings. Not a place you want to be romping around naked.

The mask slips... I always thought that "burning man" seemed to symbolize a neo-pagan ritual that was really meant just to further demoralize western civilization... hedonistic anarchy and all that... the fact that these stupid hippies are so hostile towards a conservative that wants to exercise Constitutional freedom really comes as no surprise... still, I somehow doubt that many of these stupid hippies are really going to be able to get very enthusiastic about this deeply cynical event... deep down inside they know how ugly they are actually behaving... no amount of ecstasy is going to cover that up for them... hopefully they start hacking each other's limbs off in some drug fueled frenzy... I think I'm going to go and post a lot of shit-talking on their facebook page now...

I know at least four burners enough and know all of them would side with Bundy. I know way more burner types (they go to similar festivals but maybe not burning man) and it would be mixed but definitely a lot more support than the general population.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to sell BBQ and cold beer by the ton....

Put those pits the feds dug to good use and pit roast a few head.....

People don't use money at burning man, it's a gift and trade economy.

BLM shows up... just have this guy aka 'Security', tell them to "Just Walk Away..."

You're absolutely correct. I've been to Burning Man, and I'd love to go back. I totally side with Bundy. Burning Man is a lot more diverse than the media (or some people here) give it credit for. Until you've gone (or like you, know someone who's gone) - you really shouldn't believe the stereotypes of the people that go.

If these folks thought it through to the logical conclusion, they would see what they are saying sarcastically is truth, and the irony of what fr33 mentioned above.
