Fall of the House of Bush

Bush will be back. Bush should be popular again in a few years I think

If you think that then you don't understand the appeal of Carson and Trump. They are the "anti-establishment" candidate. Jeb is the quintessential "establishment" candidate. And worse he sucks at it. As for the media unloading on Trump, that only seems to help him.

Truth.
With the exception of bush and Rubio, the top candidates are either "outsiders" or "tea party". Bush and Rubio's combined RCP average is 16.2%. At first glance, the establishment is getting absolutely walloped. Even insiders are starting to ask, "Wait...what if Trump or Carson actually starts winning primaries?"

This thought is very scary because it leads directly to a Clinton presidency. I'm sure the big hitters would prefer this anyway.

There are Trumps and Carsons every 4 years. They do well in early polling, then crash. Last time the token negro was Cain. Just wait till you see Gloria Alred on the TV parading out some bimbo that Trump and/or Carson beat and that will be the end of that.

And there are the Jeb Bush "shoo in" candidates every 4 years that don't go anywhere. In 2008 it was Rudy Giuliani. In 2012 it was Rick Perry. Both were DOA. I'm not saying that Trump or Carson will win. I'm saying that Jeb Bush won't.

I agree that Trump and Carson will both be taken out at some point, one (if not both) of them before the Iowa Caucus, but I don't think the GOP is going to back Bush given how poorly he's done. They are probably going to go all-in on Rubio and try and push the younger guy with greater appeal, basically pulling their own version of a Barack Obama. In terms of policy, Rubio and Bush are identical, and that is all the establishment cares about.

Rubio stands no chance. I have a feeling they will have to back our guy or otherwise they will look like the total morons they are. They have been inbreeding for too long.

You act like they care about looking like total morons.

We need to up that for 2016.

It was Romney in 12. He was the favorite from the beginning. Various idiots came and went then Romney won.

I'm not worried about Bush, don't underestimate their family dynasty. They haven't even begun to flex their muscles yet, the huge fundraising is just a brief stroll in the park for them.

Of course it would be the most ideal if Rand was the insurgent candidate against Bush but Rand needs to plan up his electability.

I still think Jeb is going to win the primary. Poppy Bush is actually right, Trump and Carson are clowns who won't go the distance. Once the media unloads on those two and knocks them out of the race, Jeb will come back. I think that was probably always the plan.

I still think that it will happen too.

We'll see. GOP voters tend to fall in line with what the media tells them to when voting season begins. I'm still pretty young but I don't remember any anti-establishment Republicans winning the POTUS nomination in my life. Maybe Reagan, but not really.

Don't forget John McCain, "THE MAVERICK".
