Unless you do something like was suggested earlier, put ref's handsigns on one side. But you are probably right about that.
Oh yeah. That was a GREAT idea.

How about beach balls with RON PAUL 2008 on them? Hell...could just use a magic marker. That would be great for college games.
We had HUGE success at last week's football game, but this week, since we'll all be at Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference(and so will our banners--this is the biggest Michigan GOP event of the year), let's get the plane to fly over Michigan Stadium again, for the Penn State game this Saturday.
We had a plane circle the stadium with a big American flag and "Ron Paul for President", where not only the 120,000 fans entering the stadium saw it, but everyone in the area homes as well!
It's a really great advertising investment for this Big 10 game, so if you can help us, please do!
You can chip in at:

If 40 people give $10, we got it!
Thanks,
Adam
I still believe this should be a coordinated nationwide event at as many college football stadiums as possible. It would take 1 group per stadium to pull this off, but the chip-in thing makes it easy. Also, I liked the idea of having handouts with the hometeam roster on one side and RP on the other. You would proably have to target sometime mid to late October to have enough time to get all of the flyovers set up. For example, The Michigan state vs. Ohio State(currently #8) game is October 20th and televised on ABC. You also have #1 USC at Notre Dame on NBC, #6 California at UCLA, etc. I would include the price of producing the flyers in the chip-in amount in addition to the flyover cost.
Yeah RonFan if you are doing the 5 sign sequence for game day traffic having a 6th sign at the end that exclaimed "Go Sooners" might help win people over a bit. But of course you would then have to find another volunteer to give up some time on game day. But if you could that might be a nice touch or else just wear your Sooner shirts while holding the signs. People will then be sure to read what your sign says. Yeah the signs in the video are 2 sided so the sequence of slogans work for both directions of traffic when standing on an island. Each sign is 2 pieces of cardboard sandwiching the top of an 8' long board. The cardboard was painted white with house paint and then the text was printed out on normal office paper in big letters and then taped to the cardboard with clear packaging tape. This way, you could always change what the sign says by changing the sheets of paper that make up the letters. Works well but the signs are screwed if it rains. Because the signs will need to be seen from the front and the back by the different directions of traffic it is important that the letters on your signs are high enough that the heads of whoever is holding the signs won't block the text. And remember that the first sign for one direction of traffic will be the last sign read by the other direction of traffic so remember to not just put the same slogan on the front and back of all the signs.Flirple & Ronfan, thoughts on a "Go Huskers" or a "Go Sooners" sign in there somewhere?
