Exactly WHAT made the coins "fake" as MSNBC put it? Where do they report that the coins were not of the metal content advertised?

They were commemorative coins....these are made by many vendors.

Of course, the note that the Liberty Dollar organization was not tied to the Paul campaign came last.

Okay, lets ask the Dept of Treasury if it is still okay for you to buy my toaster with a silver "round" ounce. Maby you would like to purchase my TV for a gold "round" ounce. I think they(dept. of Treasury and US Mint) need about 1,000,000,000 phone calls asking if we can mold our own gold into the shape of an eyeball and trade it any way we want!

All money will always be on accounts of the IRS. And people will only be allowed to use their money there from case to case after filing an application and recieving approval beforehand from a federal authority. That would only be a minor adjustment of the current system, and it would fit very logically with the trends already going on.
